The first official trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been released with Peter Parker facing his biggest challenge yet. Spider-Man is set to take on Rhino, Green Goblin and Electro in the superhero sequel with the promo seeing Parker debating the responsibilities of having power. In a voiceover, he’s heard saying: ‘Everyday I wake up knowing that the more people I try to save, the more enemies I will try to make and it’s just a matter of time until I face those with more power than I can overcome.’ The trailer introduces us to Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), his father Norman (Chris Cooper), Electro (Jamie Foxx) and Rhino (Paul Giamatti). Parker realises he’s under surveillance by Osborn’s murky OsCorp corporation and comes across a video featuring his father Richard Parker. Richard claims that he’s discovered what OsCorp was going to use his research for and he needs to ‘protect the world’. There’s plenty of action sequences featuring baddie Electro, who is determined to get rid of our webbed superhero. He’s heard saying: ‘Soon everyone in this city will know how it feels to live in a world without power, without mercy, without Spider-Man.’ Eagle-eyed viewers will also spot nods to The Vulture and Doctor Octopus giving a hint of what villains might be expected in The Amazing Spider-Man 3. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is out on April 18, 2015. -Metro-
