> A 24-year-old woman had a bowl of hot tomyam soup splashed on her face before being beaten up by her boyfriend for trying to end their relationship, reported Harian Metro.
The enraged boyfriend, in his 20s, also ran off with the woman’s handbag which contained her personal documents and RM100. She was having the tomyam soup for supper at about 1am last Sunday at a restaurant in Old Klang Road. The man had come over to the restaurant, which is run by the woman’s sister, to talk about their relationship. According to a source, the man spoke nicely at first, pleading for the woman not to end their relationship. “However, when she politely declined, he became angry and demanded an explanation,” he said. The source said that the woman wanted to end the relationship because her boyfriend had a bad temper and would sometimes hit her when things did not go his way. The man was unhappy with her explanation and started shouting at her before splashing the bowl of soup on her face. The woman did not have time to react before the man pushed and kicked her, causing her to fall. She later lodged a report at the Petaling police station.
