 Scott Bradlee has come up with an interesting version of the Pokemon theme tune. Scott roped in some musicians to create a slick slow jam version of the well-known Pokemon theme.
The video was created to kick off his new YouTube series, Saturday Morning Slow Jams, which Scott describes as ‘cartoon themes with a gangsta lean’. Thanks to singer Andromeda Turre and her distinctive vocals, the phrase ‘Gotta catch ‘em all’ has never sounded so soulful – until some dodgy high notes later on. Scott plays the piano in the clip, and credits the rest of the bad as Bennett Miller on bass, Allan Mednard on the drums, and Steve Sweat (best name ever) on a nifty Electronic Wind Instrument. Scott’s cartoon theme slow jams are also available to download on iTunes, because you’re definitely going to want one as your ring tone. Metro
