 'Avatar' and 'Titanic' director James Cameron treated fans to a very informative Reddit AMA session this weekend. The thread was to promote his latest endeavour, 'Years of Living Dangerously', but Cameron was happy to talk about his upcoming projects and willingly revealed behind-the-scenes information about some of his most infamous movies. While the director couldn't avoid the critiques that came in during the Q&A session, (one user asked if the 'Avatar' sequels will resemble any Disney films, referencing the film's plagiarism accusations), he approached the questions sent in with humour, enthusiasm and honesty. Here are a few of Cameron's best answers regarding 'Avatar' from the AMA session: Will Arnold Schwarzenegger be appearing in any of the Avatar sequels? A little while ago, there was speculation to suggest that Arnold Schwarzenegger could be playing the villain in the 'Avatar' sequels. However, Cameron quashed these rumours in the AMA session. He stated: "As of right now, he and I have not discussed it, and I don't see a role as the scripts are coming together that would be appropriate for him, so I would say probably not." The scripts for all three 'Avatar' sequels will be ready in six weeks When asked when the 'Avatar' sequel will go into production, Cameron said: "The second, third and fourth films all go into production simultaneously. They're essentially all in preproduction now, because we are designing creatures, settings, and characters that span all three films. And we should be finished with all three scripts within the next, I would say, six weeks." 'New and wonderful things' will be included in the sequel to 'Avatar' Cameron spoke about the stress of making movies during the AMA session. He explained: "There's always pressure, whether it's a new film or whether it's a sequel, to entertain and amaze an audience. I've felt that pressure my entire career, so there's nothing new there. The biggest pressure I feel right now is cutting out things I love to get the film down to a length that is affordable. There hasn't been a problem finding new and wonderful things to include in the movie." Cameron wondered whether it was possible to create his vision during the production of 'Avatar' When asked if he has ever had a moment of thinking "this cannot be done" while making movies, the director revealed: "I would say yes, that moment exists on every one of my films. I don't think about quitting, but I always think there might be a high probability that I will die trying. So far we've always figured it out, but Avatar felt the most hopeless. We were 3 years into a 4 year project before we saw the first usable shot." Disney's 'Avatar Land' will be 'amazing' One fan asked Cameron if he could divulge any information about Disney's 'Avatar Land' and the director was very complimentary about the upcoming attraction. He said: "Disney are doing a first-rate job designing it. It's going to be completely spectacular. It will be like being on Pandora. You will see real floating mountains. It's going to be a very magical experience just to be there and walk around. And the two rides will be absolutely state of the art… From what I've seen so far, it will be amazing."  Cameron was driven by the fact that 'Avatar', an environmental film, was successful at the box-office When a fan asked why Cameron shifted from 'Battle Angel' to the 'Avatar' sequels', Cameron revealed: "My intention when I made 'Avatar' was to do 'Battle Angel' next. However, the positive feedback for 'Avatar' and the support of the message of 'Avatar' encouraged me to do more of those films." "For me, the success was a factor because I was encouraged by the fact that an environmental film, or a film about nature, could be successful. It's certainly not just about money. I'm considering success to mean the measure of the ability of the film to communicate. Every director wants their film to communicate. The biggest factor, however, is the drive to continue developing the world - more characters, more creatures with unfettered creativity." But what did we learn from the session overall? The AMA session was a good opportunity for Cameron to connect with fans of his work, and also for viewers to share their opinions on what they want to see from the 'Avatar' sequels. It was nice to see that the director was good-humoured and honest with his responses, however, the news that the film's sequels are all going into production simultaneously may worry fans that not enough time is being used to develop storylines - the biggest criticism of the first movie.
