KUALA LUMPUR, April 4 — Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd (RapidKL) will arrange 15 special shuttle buses to facilitate the movement of 110,000 RapidKL Monorail Line passengers on April 12 and 13 following the temporary suspension of the service. Its Chief Operating Officer, Abdul Hadi Amran said, the shuttle services would cover 11 affected monorail stations. “There are three routes dedicated to assist the public are KL Sentral-Bukit Bintang, Titiwangsa-Bukit Bintang and KL Sentral-Titiwangsa with a fee of RM1 per trip or 50 sen for those with concession cards. “The shuttle bus services will observe a frequency of 15 minutes interval subject to traffic condition on the two days,” he said during a briefing about KL Monorail Fleet Expansion Project (KLMFEP) here, today. Abdul Hadi said the suspension of monorail services was necessary to upgrade the monorail line signalling system, which was part of KLMFEP. The temporary closure will commence from 12 am on April 12 to 4 am on April 14 and normal services will resume on April 14 from 6 am.
