MH370: Words Of Support Continue To Pour In

KUALA LUMPUR: Family members, friends and the ordinary man on the street continue to convey words of support on social media for the next-of-kin of passengers and crew on board Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

Some expressed heartfelt words from across the globe on twitter, as they showed their solidarity with the grieving families three days after Malaysia announced that the plane was lost in the southern Indian Ocean.

Maira Elizabeth Nari, the daughter of Malaysia Airlines chief steward Andrew Nari, expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the unending support and concern she has been receiving from peopel through twitter.

The 17-year-old’s tweets had tugged at the heartstrings of many on twitterverse, and many responded in an equally heartfelt manner.

“I received love from almost the whole world. I'm so touched. I don't know how to thank all of you. Supports, prayers..., God bless you all,” said Maira Elizabeth in her Twitter account today.

She had been tweeting heartfelt messages in regards to the fate of her father since the aircraft went missing since March 8 and after it was announced on Monday night that it ended in the southern Indian Ocean.

Radio DJ and actress, Datuk Yasmin Yusuff tweeted to Elizabeth soon after that, “@yyusuff @Gorgxous_ Sending you much love and light to help you through these sad days.”

Izzat Nazli, the nephew of leading steward Wan Swaid Wan Ismail (correct) who was on board MH370, posted a series of tweets from @theonlywannn, remembering the noble side of his uncle. He is pinning hopes for a miracle to happen.

When replying to a well-wisher known as @saraiskndr on twitter, Izzati said: “yup he's a nice person but its sad when the end of his life be so mystery. Thank you.”

“Our mentality n emotionally is really sad. We still have a little hopes that #MH370 is safe n has be hijacked. Only God know the truth.”

Izzat’s family have been getting updates about the ongoing search effort for the plane, and they are eager to know the cause and wether the plane had gone down in the sea.

“We want more evidence to prove if the plane did crash. I know it’s difficult to find it but we are not satisfied with the evidence available so far .”

Izzat also took to Instagram and posted a picture of Wan Swaid's son, Wan Amirul Haziq being interviewed on television news programme. The picture’s caption read:

“Haziq your character is similar like your daddy. He must be proud of you. The next generation to continue our legacy, Wan Ismail.” said the caption.

As for Afiq Ab Hamid, the brother of MH370's co-pilot Fariq Ab Hamid, his short tweet showed that his thoughts was of his brother.

He posted from @afiqhamid:  "Alright, goodnight", which were the last heard words from the ill-fated airline and believed to be spoken by Fariq, who is the first officer.

World No.1 squash player Datuk Nicol Ann David offered her condolences to the affected families through Twitter by saying: “My deepest condolences to the families of the passengers and crew on flight MH370. Our hearts and thoughts are with them.”

Malaysian professional track cyclist Azizulhasni Awang said he was saddened by the news of the fate of flight MH370.  “My heart goes out to those families, relatives, friends who lost loved ones. Patience and trust in Allah is needed!” he tweeted. Malaysian professional go-kart racer, Muizzuddin Musyaffa through his Twitter handle @MuizzKartin said he will keep on praying for the passengers and crew of #MH370.

The outpouring of grief and sympathy also trickled in from many parts of the world.

Mickey Bustos, a Filipino born-Canadian singer/songwriter tweeted : “I am so sad about this entire #MH370 tragedy. Praying for the families involved. Hope we have a breakthrough soon.”

Beauty editor Julie Naughton said: “My heart hurts thinking of the families of Malaysia Airlines Flt. MH 370. Hugs, prayers, love. I'm so sorry for your loss.”
