Director Kim Sang-sik of Anyang Jeonggwanjang.

"It was a good team, a great team. However, I think our team's concentration was a little better at the last minute. I was disappointed at the end, but I feel good to win."

Anyang Jeonggwanjang won a valuable victory and ranked third in the East Asian Super League (EASL).

Chung had a 78-76 victory over the New Taipei Kings in the third-place match between 2023 and 24 EASL Finals held at Cebu-Sdom in the Philippines on Sunday. Chung won 250,000 dollars in prize money. The amount is larger than the combined prize money for the championship game 100 million won in the Korean professional basketball regular league.

It was a blood-spattered game. Starting with Park Ji-hoon who scored 29 points, Chung tried to run away every time, but the Kings chased after him fiercely. Joseph Lin, younger brother of Jeremy Lin, the National Basketball Association (NBA) player, led the Kings' attack and led the game to a close game until the end. Chung was on the verge of turning the tables by committing several turnovers in the fourth quarter, but became the final winner thanks to the Kings' turnovers at the last minute and Chung's two points.

"It was a good team, a great team. However, I think our team's concentration was a little better at the last minute," said Kim Sang-sik, head coach of the Jeonggwanjang, who met with reporters after the game. "I was disappointed at the end, but I feel good to win."

Regarding ace Park Ji-hoon's performance, he said, "I played as a six-man last year, and now I'm an ace player in the team. He was also the leading player in the victory today," adding, "If I improve my reading skills a little more, I will be able to grow into a top-class guard in the league. I think he will do well in the future."

Lens Abando, a native of the Philippines who is playing the game, was absent. He played in the semifinal on the 8th and was cheered by local fans, but his business trip failed in the aftermath of his injury.  안전놀이터

"The Philippines came with me, but I did not know whether I could play or not due to my injury. I had the desire to play in the semifinals, so I played in the semifinals," manager Kim Sang-sik said. "However, I cannot guarantee that I will play right away when I return to the regular league. Still, I hope we can play together until the end of the season. We have to wait and see."
