Trevor Bauer, who plays in the Mexican league and seeks to return to the Major League, is playing well.

Bauer, who plays for the Diablos Royos in Mexico's professional baseball league, recorded four hits, two walks and three strikeouts in three innings in an exhibition game against the New York Yankees in Mexico City, Mexico, on the 25th (Korea time). 

In the first inning, he allowed a walk with two outs, but ended the inning by catching the cleanup hitter Cabrera with a grounder to the second base. In the second inning, he faced a crisis. With the bases loaded with two outs, he continued his good pitching with two hits, one walk and no loss.

He was on the verge of losing a point in the third inning as well. He struck out Stanton with Giancarlo, the first batter, but Bauer committed two hits and a wild pitch, putting him at the first and third bases. He struck out the next batter and grounded out to shortstop, showing his crisis management skills.

According to Sponizia Nex, Bauer attacked with a four-seam fastball of up to 98 miles (160 kilometers). He threw a mixture of slider, cut flat ball and two-seam.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone praised Bauer's pitch after the game, saying, "Bauer has a great pitch. I think we hit him pretty well, but we couldn't hit him."

Bauer, who played for Japan's tryout team Asia Breeze, signed a short-term contract with Diablos on the 19th for a five-game regular season. His return to the Major League is underway.

However, the game against the New York Yankees on this day is not included in the five games signed as an exhibition game.

Bauer is confident that he can join the rotation as soon as he receives an offer from the Major League Baseball club

Bauer began his professional career after being drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks with the third overall pick in the first round of the 2011 MLB Draft. Bauer, who moved to the Cleveland Indians (now the Guardians) in 2013, re-traded into the Cincinnati Reds jersey in 2019.
