The announcement came just hours after the Gambling Commission released a report showing a 10% increase in longer slot sessions.

Tim Miller, director of policy and research after this implementation, said. "Evaluations of changes in online slot games have shown that play intensity decreases and does not have a significant negative impact on play or behavior.

"It's positive, but we'll continue to monitor certain parts of the sector for not being complacent and not complying with unintended situations or regulations."

A strict action package was announced on February 2, 2021, including a total of six changes and bans to be implemented on October 31.

These included fantasy-provoking features that speed up play or control results, slot rotation faster than 2.5 seconds, auto-play capability, and a ban on fantasy about winning when returns are lower than their original equity.
