Birmingham City's Baek Seung-ho of the English Football League EFL Championship Second Division played in four consecutive games, but his team lost and bowed its head. He shone with a pass success rate of 100%, but he swallowed the disappointment because there were few touches.

Baek Seung-ho started in the 36th round of the 2023-24 EFL Championship against Southampton at St Andrews Stadium in Birmingham, England, on the morning of the 3rd, and was replaced after 68 minutes. In addition to being outnumbered, the team lost 3-4 by dedicating the final goal in extra time.

Starting in four consecutive games, Baek Seung-ho served as a third-line midfielder for the 4-2-3-1 formation. The team continued to have a good atmosphere through the first half. Koji Miyoshi's first goal came within two minutes. He lost a point shortly afterwards to Adam Amstorong, but Jay Stansfield scored an additional point to end the first half with a 2-1 lead.

The issue at hand was the second half, in which Southampton instantly turned the game upside down with consecutive goals scored by David Brooks and Che Adams. Worse yet, Birmingham faced a negative impact as defender Dionne Sanderson was sent off directly. Later, Baek Seung-ho was substituted at the 23rd minute of the second half when his team was trailing 2-3.

Birmingham scored an equalizer by Juninho Bacunya in the 22nd minute of the second half, but Joe Aribo lost a point in the second half extra time and eventually drank a bitter cup at home.

After losing two games in a row, Birmingham quickly fell to the 20th place 10 wins, eight draws and 16 losses, score point of 38 in the league. The gap between points with those in the relegation zone 22nd to 24th is not that big. In particular, the gap is the same as that of Stoke City 22nd under Bae Jun-ho.

Baek Seung-ho himself had some regrets about the result. He spent 68 minutes in the stadium, but had few touches. Baek only touched 33 times. The success rate of his passes was 100 percent 15 successes/15 attempts and two key passes, but it was regrettable that his overall pass was less successful. Five contested victories also faded.

Birmingham Live, a local newspaper that deals with Birmingham news, gave him a rating of six, saying, "After joining the club, he made all of us excited with his outstanding touch and skills, but he had to show a different side of himself on the day." It was the second lowest rating in the team. Baek Seung-ho was well received by local newspapers every time, but he seems to have failed to get a point in the match.

Meanwhile, Birmingham is ahead of a tough schedule to meet 6th-ranked Hull City, 18th-ranked Millwall away 14th-ranked Middlesborough and 12th-ranked Watford home.  토토
