How to Modify the Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks Desktop

I'll demonstrate how to edit the Chart of Accounts in this QuickBooks Desktop training session. 2022 QuickBooks Accountant Desktop will be my tool (also known as QuickBooks Premier).
Simple Directions:
- Chart of Accounts can be found under Lists in the Windows menu.
- Create a new account.
- select Account. fresh in the bottom left corner
Choose the account type.
Toggle the blue The next button
Type in the account details
Select "Save & Continue" in blue.
4. Remove a user account
In the bottom left corner, select Account -> Delete Account.
On the pop-up, click the blue OK button.
5. Submit a new account
In the bottom left-hand corner, select New under Account.
Choose the account type.
Toggle the blue The next button
Type in the account details
Subaccount checkbox should be checked.
Choose the primary account.
Toggle the blue Button to Save & Continue
How to Set Up the QuickBooks 2022 Chart of Accounts List
Your income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and owner's equity amounts are all categorized in the QuickBooks 2022 Chart of Accounts list of accounts. You need an account for that line item if you want to see a specific piece of financial data on a report. You need an account for that budget amount if you want to budget according to a specific line item. You need a specific account to collect the financial data if you want to report it on your tax returns.
