Customers can access a wide range of tools through the Microsoft Entra admin center to protect access to all people, resources, and environments across many clouds and platforms.  The admin center includes the entire Microsoft Entra product family, including Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Microsoft Entra Permissions Management (formerly known as CloudKnox).

Starting this month, a phased approach will direct waves of customers to entra.microsoft.com instead of the Azure AD admin center (aad.portal.azure.com) from Microsoft 365. Despite the change, all Azure AD management tasks can still be completed through the Microsoft Entra admin center, accessible via the Azure AD tab in the navigation. Additionally, users can easily return to the Azure AD admin center using a link on the Entra admin center.

The rollout is scheduled to begin in December 2022 and is expected to be completed by March 2023. Customers will be sent to the new Entra Admin Centre during this time when they click connections to Azure Active Directory in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

To ensure a seamless transition and uninterrupted access to the management experience, organizations may need to update their firewall rules to allow *.entra.microsoft.com.
