The Saudi Government has a hard time keeping track of a large number of Pilgrims in different places that are important parts of Hajj.

Essential Parts Of Hajj:

Ihram:
Ihram is the first step for every pilgrim.

For a man, Ihram is:
It is a simple white piece of cloth with two sheets that are not sewn together. One sheet covers the upper body, and the other sheet covers the lower body.

For a woman, Ihram is:
A woman wears regular clothes that are sewn together and a headscarf. The burqa or niqab is worn by women.

Tawaf:
When the pilgrims get to Al-Haram Mosque, they do Tawaf, which means they walk around the Kaaba seven times.

Sai:
Between the hills of Safa and Marwa, pilgrims run, which means they walk quickly. This was done by Hazrat Hajrah (RA), who was Hazrat Ismail's mother (AS).

Mina:
On the first day of Hajj, people go to the tent city of Mina. Pilgrims stay here and don't leave until the morning of the second day of Hajj, when the sun comes up. They meet with Arafat.

Arafat:
When the pilgrims get to Arafat, they pray and say sorry for their sins for a whole day.

Muzdalifah:
Pilgrims go to the open land of Muzdalifah, southeast of Mina, after the Arafat. Here, people come to pray the Maghrib and Isha prayers. It is the best place to find stones for Ramy al-jamarat.

Ramy al-Jamarat:
Pilgrims throw the stones towards Jamarat from this spot. The city of Mina has three walls, and the third day of Hajj is when the stones are thrown (Eid-al-Adha).

Eid al-Adha:
The Eid al-Adha holiday is called the Feast of Sacrifice. During this holiday, Muslims kill the animals (Buffalo, Cow, Ox, Goat, Sheep, and Camel). It's a very important part of Eid al-Adha, but it's not necessary for people who can't do it. This is something that Prophet Ibrahim did (AS).
