Compared to the same month last year, 144,012 more people flew with Brussels Airlines in July. This is an increase of 16.4%. The Seat Load Factor went up by 1.5 percentage points, making it 86.8% in total.

Brussels Airlines has carried more than 1 million people in a month for the first time in its 16-year history. And they have get benefits online by changing their airline booking from their home in the section of Brussels airlines manage booking. The airline had 1.020.729 passengers in July, which is 16.4% more than in July 2017.

The number of passengers on the African network grew the most (+34.1%). This is because Thomas Cook, Neckermann, and Pegase worked together to add a lot of new vacation spots in North Africa. The number of people taking flights in Europe went up by 14.9%. 6.5% more people signed up for the North American network in the same month as last year. On flights to and from the Middle East, 10.8% more people chose to fly Brussels Airlines. The number of people going to Asia with Brussels Airlines went up by 7.4%.

Brussels Airlines ran 4.2% more flights, but the Available Seat-Kilometers (ASK) went up even more (20.8%) because bigger Airbus planes took the place of smaller AVRO jets (100 seats) (180 seats). The Seat Load Factor went up from 85.3% in July 2017 to 86.8% in July 2018 (+1.5pp. Because it had more to offer, Brussels Airlines was able to keep its prices low and bring in even more customers. This, however, means that there is still a lot of pressure on the yield.

Because the number of flights is growing quickly, the Cargo Load Factor went down by 3.1 percentage points, to an average of 61.1%. The total amount of cargo moved was 3,872 tonnes. The number of Revenue Ton-Kilograms (RTK) went up by 21.2%.

These numbers don't include the people on the many charter flights that Brussels Airlines runs for tour operators.
