Drinking a placenta smoothie is set to be all-the-rageIt's well-known the placenta is jam-packed full of fabulous nutrients and important vitamins stored up to feed an unborn child. But would you eat it?
Kim Kardashian has revealed she's had the placenta from her second child turned into pills she will take, to boost her health and well being.
The fairer half of 'Kimye' announced her intentions to eat her placenta in a bid to ward off postnatal depression. It's said those who eat the placenta from their children will enjoy health benefits as the flattened circular organ is loaded with iron and vitamins B6 and B12.

If that's not tickling your pickle, there's a less queasy way of getting these nutrients. A new juice claims to have all the health benefits of afterbirth, without having to eat the organ.
Crammed full of dark chocolate, banana, almond milk and raspberry for plenty of vitamin B12, B6 and Iron, the new juice has been designed especially for those who want the taste and health benefits of eating placenta, but without giving birth.
Guka from Savse said: "For years women have been eating the placenta post-birth, but for the majority of people, it's not something that appeals as appetising.
"That's why we've created this drink - it ensures mums can get the desired vitamins and minerals without consuming their own organs."

He added: "Unlike other smoothie brands or fruit based drinks, we uniquely cold-press all of our ingredients which enables us to retain the essential goodness of the full fruit and vegetables."
Savse's Placenta Magenta smoothies are set to be rolled out across the UK in the Spring.
