To be a pre-sectarian Buddhist who will surely attain the final salvation as the Buddha did, you will digest his last teaching.
Keep three commitments: Self-reliance, confidence, and determination in attaining the final salvation.
Do not rely on anybody for the final salvation. Do not get involved with spiritual materialism for the final salvation. Do not expect the Buddha to save you.
Believe in your own Buddhahood (Your own spiritual power to attain the final salvation).
Learn and apply the Buddha's original teachings and practice in your everyday life. Be a realistic person.
Persistence! Do not give up on your practice. If you do not give up, you will be able to attain the final salvation. However, if you give up, there is not a chance to attain the final salvation.
