SINGAPORE - Singapore will revise its toll charges at the Causeway to match those of Malaysia.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced on Friday that from Oct 1, toll charges for all vehicles, except motorcycles, leaving Singapore across the Causeway will be increased to match the new Malaysian fee.

Cars leaving Singapore can expect to pay $3.80, up from $1.20.

Vans and light goods vehicles will see a hike from $1.90 to $5.80

heavy good vehicles will see an increase from $2.60 to $7.70.

The toll for leaving Singapore will increase for taxis from $0.60 to $1.90,

buses this will increase from $1 to $3.10.

Should Malaysia reduce or do away with the toll charges, Singapore will follow suit, the LTA added.
The increase in toll charges was expected. Senior Minister of State for Transport Josephine Teo had said in Parliament on Tuesday that Singapore's Causeway toll charges would be revised to match those by Malaysia "in due course".

This is due to Singapore's "long standing" policy of matching tolls that Malaysia imposes for the use of the Causeway and the Second Link, said Mrs Teo. -

PS: rakyaat juga lah yg kena beban....tentu barang2 dari malaysia akan naik harga

parah juga rakyat spore kalau cam ni , terutama yg menetap d JB yg ulang alik Spore -JB tiap hari . ... apa pun bandar JB akan kurang sikit kete plate spore yg kebanyakan berlagak
