{1}Polis tertembak pemungut hutang !

KANG SEAK XIONG mati tertembak ketika berhibur di sebuah pub di George Town, Pulau Pinang semalam.
GEORGE TOWN , 15 Oktober – Pertemuan tiga sahabat termasuk dua anggota polis di sebuah pub di Auto City Juru, Bukit Mertajam di sini bertukar tragedi apabila mereka ditahan selepas seorang daripadanya melepaskan tembakan sehingga menyebabkan seorang lelaki maut semalam.
Dalam kejadian pada pukul 2.20 pagi itu, Kang Seok Xiong, 38, yang bekerja sebagai pemungut hutang mati akibat terkena satu das tembakan di perut.
Suspek wanita ditahan di premis hiburan tersebut manakala dua anggota masing-masing berpangkat lans koperal dan sarjan itu diberkas pada pukul 10 pagi di sebuah rumah di Kulim, Kedah.
Polis turut merampas sepucuk pistol milik suspek berpangkat lans koperal berusia 33 tahun yang bertugas di Kontinjen Kedah.
Ketua Polis Pulau Pinang, Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi berkata, kejadian dipercayai berlaku apabila tiga sekawan termasuk seorang sarjan dari kontinjen Johor yang sedang bercuti di negeri ini berjanji untuk berjumpa di pusat hiburan berkenaan.
Polis percaya sebelum kejadian itu berlaku pergaduhan antara suspek dengan sekumpulan lelaki dipercayai kawan si mati.- kosmo

GEORGE TOWN: Two policemen have been detained in connection with the shooting of a 38-year-old debt collector at an entertainment outlet in Auto City, Bukit Mertajam.
Penang police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi said a lance corporal in his early 30s and a 55-year-old sergeant were detained following a tip-off.
“We confiscated the corporal’s pistol at a house in Kulim.
“We also picked up a 34-year old woman who was with him at the entertainment outlet to assist in our investigations.
“A 9mm Luger bullet casing and a live bullet of the same kind were recovered from the scene,” SDCP Abdul Rahim said.
He said the 55-year-old sergeant, who was attached to the Johor police contingent, was here for the Hari Raya Haji holiday.
The three suspects will be produced at the Bukit Mertajam court for a remand order today.
Police have also obtained CCTV footages of the incident.
It is understood that the victim was shot in the abdomen following a misunderstanding with a policeman at the outlet at around 2.30am yesterday.
He succumbed to his injuries at the Seberang Jaya Hospital here later.
SDCP Abdul Rahim said police were still ascertaining the motive of the attack. |

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Seven people have been remanded for five days in connection with the fatal shooting of a debt collector in Juru Auto-City on Monday morning.
 olice obtained the remand order when the seven were brought before Sessions Court senior registrar Mohd Faiz Md Zain this afternoon. The remand order, which expires on Friday (October 19), is to allow the police to investigate the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. Lawyers Christine Khor and Lim Boon Beng represented the seven detainees. Three people, comprising the lance corporal in his 30s, a 55-year-old sergeant and a 34-year-old, were reportedly brought in to assist in investigations. It is learnt that the other four who were remanded are friends of the deceased. It was reported that a policeman, who is attached to the Kulim district police, allegedly shot the 38-year-old in an entertainment outlet here following an argument. The argument, which later escalated into a brawl, was believed to have been over a woman. State police chief Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi reportedly said the on-duty policeman had shot the victim in the stomach at close range and then fled. |
