IN COLLABORATION WITH PUBLIKA’S MAPKL ARTS FESTIVAL 2013

Kuala Lumpur (5th April 2013) - In support of the local art, music and fashion scene, Edaran Tan Chong Motor distributor of Nissan Malaysia is collaborating with Publika’s mapKL Arts Festival 2013. Nissan Fashionably KL will run from 5th – 7th April 2013 featuring art exhibitions, live musical performances and fashion showcases to promote four of Nissan’s best-selling vehicles – Nissan ALMERA, Nissan TEANA, Nissan X-GEAR and the yet to be launched Zero-Emission All-Electric Nissan LEAF.

The weekend kicks off on the evening of the 5th where invited guests will experience the entire Nissan Fashionably KL festival starting from an art exhibition reception at White Box featuring a fashion-oriented art installation, followed by an exclusive fashion showcase at Black Box by local designers Syomir Izwa, Zleqha and Allien Gan, then finally an after party affair at The Square with entertainment by local DJ Chris Olivia.

Over the course of the weekend, there are plenty of activities the public can engage in from an existing art exhibition at White Box and open musical performances at The Square by local names such as Nadhira, SonaOne, BeatNation, Caprice, H3, Meliha Faisal and more. They will also be able to view and experience all the Nissan vehicles while they enjoy the live music.

The multiple-award winning Nissan TEANA with its modern luxurious look and feel is equipped with a Blind Spot Warning System which alerts drivers via the LED or Buzzer if potential threats enter the alert zone measuring 3 meters long and 3 meters wide.

Nissan ALMERA is the latest addition to the B segment sedan market with upscale technology features, stylish aerodynamic body and spaciousness in an affordable package. It is built on an all-new global “V” (versatile) platform which utilizes a lightweight yet rigid body with a full component of safety features.

The Nissan X-GEAR combines aggressive SUV-inspired exterior styling with class-leading versatility and spaciousness. The handsome exterior is accentuated by “Tartan” fabric seats and door trim. It remains practical with 60:40 split-fold rear seats that double the available luggage space from 383L to 769L when folded down.

Highly-anticipated and zero-emission Nissan LEAF is a 100% electric vehicle which demonstrates Edaran Tan Chong Motor’s support for the Malaysian government initiative to promote Green technology and ensure sustainable development. The LEAF offers a unique driving experience because it has no internal combustion petrol or diesel engine and is powered entirely by an electric motor.

All the Nissan cars will be available for viewing from 5th – 7th April 2013 at Nissan Fashionably KL, Publika. The event is open to public on Saturday and Sunday, 6th and 7th April 2013.
