Peniaga tambah cacing tanah kering dalam kuah laksa

SINGAPURA – Seorang peniaga menjual laksa berkuah cacing tanah yang telah dikeringkan di sebuah pusat beli-belah di Singapura, lapor laman berita Stomp semalam.


Menurut jurnal sains, cacing tanah telah lama menjadi makanan manusia kerana sifat perubatannya.


Cacing yang telah dikeringkan itu dikenali sebagai dilong dalam perubatan China tradisional.


Peniaga tersebut, Zac Choy, 54, memberitahu akhbar Shin Min Daily News bahawa ibunya selalu menambah dilong dalam kuah laksa.


“Ibu saya pernah menjual laksa di Melaka.


“Dia menyerahkan resipi itu kepada saya dan meminta saya menambah baik. Ketika proses itu, saya mencuba produk siap dan merasakan bahawa ia tidak cukup enak, seolah-olah ia kehilangan beberapa bahan utama.


“Atas cadangan ibu, saya menambah cacing tanah kering ke dalam kuah untuk menjadikannya lebih segar dan lazat.


“Saya secara beransur-ansur mempunyai pelanggan tetap dan memberitahu mereka perkara sebenar. Walaupun terkejut, mereka tidak terlalu peduli kerana menyukai rasa laksa itu,” kata Choy. – AGENSI
