Procedure to Transfer Hostgator Email to Office 365
Albeit, the procedure to migrate Hostgator email to Office 365 is not an easy task. You can try this procedure manually as well as professionally. If you wish to proceed with a manual approach, then the following steps are for you.

Step 1: Collect your Email client settings
Log in to Hostgator email credentials.
Click on the Email Accounts (option available under the control panel).
Now, select Email Accounts, then click Connect Devices.
Scroll down to the Mail Client Manual Settings and save the information in secure SSL/TLS(Recommended Box).
Note: You need this information at the time to migrate your email.

Step 2: Migrate your Hostgator Email to Outlook
After performing step 1, you are ready to Migrate Email from Hostgator to Office 365.

Launch Outlook> File, click on Add Account, enter your Hostgator email address, and click on Connect.
On the next screen, select an IMAP account type.
Use the secure SSL/TLS information you collected in the above part(Step 1).
After entering all the required information, click Next.
Enter your password and then click Done.
Step 3: Export your Hostgator emails to Outlook Data File
After performing this, you can save your Hostgator emails to a desktop or any hard device.

Launch Outlook> File>Open & Export >Import/Export.
Choose Export to a file> Next.
Select Outlook Data File(.pst)>Next.
Select the email account, file/s, folder/s>Next.
Now Browse to choose your destination, and enter a file name for your resultant file. Then tap Finish.
Now enter Password to secure your file, then Ok.
Reach your selected destination to confirm whether your output file is saved or not.
Step 4: Remove your Hostgator Account Account from Outlook
Before your account will export emails from Hostgator to Office 365. You need to remove your Hostgator email account first. To remove this account, follow the steps.

Launch Outlook> File>Account settings> Account Settings.
Select your Hostgator email account and click Remove.
A dialogue box asks for your consent to delete your account, select Yes.
The migrated Email from Hostgator to Office 365 will exist, but your Hostgator email account will no longer.
Step 5: Import your Emails to Office 365
Now you can connect your Microsoft 365 account to Outlook after implementing this step. To do this, Repeat the same procedure as step 2, but this time choose Microsoft 365 instead of IMAP.

Launch Outlook > File > Open & Export> Import/Export.
Choose Import from another program or file from the list, then Next
Select Outlook Data File(.pst)>Next.
Now Browse to choose your destination, and enter a file name for your resultant file. Then tap Finish.
You can also select options to manage your duplicates.
Enter Password that you have assigned earlier, and then, Ok
Next, choose Import items into the same folder in the option. Select Microsoft 365 mailbox from the drop-down list.
Tap Finish and Outlook will start copying information from the .pst file to your Office 365 mailbox.
After following all the steps procedurally, you successfully migrated from Hostgator to Office 365 with a manual approach.
