Complaint pasal PPUM-Farmasi Unit

Star nak share experience pasal PPUM punya Farmasi unit.....

Pagi tadi Star bawak anak pergi Klinik Am sbb anak Star
dah demam nak masuk 4 hari....Buat check-up dan ambik darah...
Then dapat result dan consultation dari Doc...
Lps tu Doc bg code num dan suruh refer kat Farmasi unit untuk
ambik ubat......

Lps ambik ubat dan bayar RM5...Star balik lah......
Kemudia Star perasan smpai mlm anak Star still x ok...
Mulalah x puas hati ni.....
Ape ke ubat yg anak aku dok telan x OK2 jugak ni???

Star pun call klinik panel untuk confirm ubat....
Base on nama ubat tu..Doc kata itu cuma ubat batuk+selsema (Promethazine)
dan ubat demam (Syr.Paracetamol 250mg)...
Then baru Star  teringat balik Doc kat PPUM tu kata kena
habiskan antibiotik...
So...mana antibiotiknya???

Star pun cari balik no PPUM tp malangnya Farmasi dh tutup...
dia org sambungkan pd emergency line.....
Borak punya borak barulah Star tahu yg sepatutnya ada lagi
ubat yg Star x dapat iaitu Augmentin (antibiotic)sbb base on
blood test td Doc kata ada jangkitan kuman dlm darah dan
darah putih lebih byk dari darah merah....

Persoalan nya kat sini....

Mcm mana staff kat Farmasi unit ni boleh cuai dlm kes2 mcm ni??
Base on record..ubat tu x de stok....
Dan sepatutnya dia kena bagi list tu dan inform suruh pg cari kat
klinik luar atau mana2 farmasi lain.....
(ini ayat org kat emergency line tu ckp)...

Bengkek je Star...

Alaaa Star... camtu laaa sepital gomen wat keja.. tp PPUM tu bkn fully gomen pun kannn.. nasib PPUM laa dapat staff hampeh..

Sbb tu laaaa aku sanggup ikat perut menabung wat byr treatment anak kat paed private sbb dorg akan serve kita betul2 and make sure we will back to their service!

Shud be kalau dh habeh pon,pharmacist tu sepatutnya call balik doc utk reconfirm or ubah A-biotik lain

Kenapa tak tanya doctor ubat apa yg dia prescribe untuk anak you?  

Doctor akan bagi tahu apa jenis ubat yg patient kena ambil ie. ubat demam, batuk, selsema and if dah ada infection antibiotic.  

Sometimes we as patients should be more pro-active and ask questions.  If you had asked the questions, you would have known at the pharmacy ada ubat yg you tak dapat.  Augmentin usually ada in stock in UH/PPUM.  Dah banyak kali I ambil augmentin kat UH.  

Private hospitals pun mess up jugak.  Btw who said UH/PPUM is cheap?  Cubalah buat surgery kat situ - eg. angiogram.  Then you know whether its cheap or not.

so mmg la ader yg chargable..
nak murah gi la GH...

anyway..btol ckp anita..
kite kene la alert aper yg doktor tu kasik kat kite. nie dah sampai umah, gi doktor panel baru tau ader ubat tinggal..
kalo argue ms kat kaunter tu, mesti dah awal2 tau naper antibiotik tu tak dibagi...
so ms tu nak bertikam lidah dgn dispencer tu pon, blasah jerk la...janji puas ati..

bkn nak bela memane pihak..
memane pegi pon..klinik/ gomen spital ke...private ke..kite ader hak nak tanyer..
jgn la redha jerk...

korang ckp mcm senang je bunyinya...
Mmg star dh tanya Doc tp dia ckp list tu semua dh transfer
kat system dia terus ke Farmasi unit....dan dia bg kertas
yg ada no 4 num code je...
Masa ambik ubat tu pulak...
time tu lah anak menangis...termuntah lah..
tu yg kelam-kabut sket...
Ye lah...ni pengajaran penting buat Star...

Yang Star boleh pelajari dari kes di atas...

1) X boleh percaya 100% sangat dgn SISTEM KOMPUTER yg canggih
kat situ...

2)X boleh percaya sgt ngan staf2 kat farmasi tu sbb walaupun
terer lah konon nya kerja dia org tu..tp boleh buat silly mistake jugak..

3)org biasa mcm Star ni mana lah pandai sgt istilah2 medical ni..
nak2 nama ubat yg pelik2...kekadang Doc ni mcm pandang rendah
je kat kita bila kita tanya bebanyak...

kan Star sebut nama Doc tu kat sini kan kecoh pulak...

Itu belum lg sebut staff kat kaunter pertanyaan tu punya perangai...
Dgn muka mcm perasan bagus je bila ada org tanya dia kat kaunter tu..
Star duk kat bangku tu dok tgk je kat dia mcm mana cara dia
layan org...Nasib Star x tau nama dia...malas pulak nk g selidik nama
dia sapa....lagipun x kena pd Star....

Ade ke sesapa kat sini Staff RUKA???

heheh..moral nyer...kita sendiri la kena alert ngan ubat2 yg diberi..
kalu time tu u cek xder ubat tu bolela sound staf farmasi tu time tu gak..nk bandingkn ppum n private u kena la tgk..ppum is a semi gov hospital,pesakitnyer ramai berduyun2 cam kt general hospital, apalah nk dibandingkn dgn private hospital ke klinik apatah lg...klu u duk kt farmasi tu dr pg smpi ptg diaorg nonstop kerja dok layan patient,amik ubat...possibilities utk silap sana sini tu biasalah..diaorg pun manusia biasa..cuma u diantara x bernasib baik kena problem gitu..sabarla ye

...kalau dapat pekerja yang kerja asal boleh saja...sambil lewa dan tidak committed...ginilah akibatnya...as a pharmacist...or as someone yang responsible for dispensing of medication...she/he should noe the importance of antibiotics...kalau antibiotic yang diprescribed itu tidak ada stok...she should have called the dr concern and informed him about it...and recommend another antibiotics yang sesuai instead of just lupakan saja tentang antibiotic yang ketiadaan stok itu...

...however...as patient...or as parent...kita pon perlu ada inisiatif tuk bertanya pada dr what are the medications yang akan diberikan...and their indications...dan...bila pharmacist dispensed the medications...kita kena focus our attention to what is being advised to us...kalau tiba giliran kita dan anak kita meragam...buat hal seperti nak muntah...nak terkencing...or whatever yang distracting our attention...then...just let the pharmacist know yang u are not ready and to give u a few minutes to settle whatever things yang u need to settle with your child...bila semuanya dah selesai...barulah u pi balik kat pharmacist itu tadi to get your meds...

...dont let yourself be stressed by the pharmacist and by your child...once u are stressed...u will spread the stress vibes to others...and once stress is being spread...mistakes are bound to happened...

well, how did u know farmasi yg silap x dispense ubt 2 kat u??? maybe doc 2 yg x key in dlm komputer kut??? who knows...
whatever it is, maybe its just your bad day...kesilapan mmg kadang2x berlaku....walaupun x septutnya berlaku...

masa doc bagi consultation kat u dia ade mention tak nak bagi antiobiotik???
lagi satu dispenser tu ade bagitau kan kegunaan ubat promethazine dgn pcm tu kan???
ubat dua tu bukan nya antibiotik dan u pun dah tau kan ...
sepatutnya u lah yg kena tanya mana antibiotik kat dispenser tu..

Tadi ambik ubat for my sons (different medication for 2 boys) kat farmasi PPUM.  Everything went well and very fast, even though orang ramai sangat-sangat sebab cuti sekolah.   From the time ambil nombor until dapat ubat - 15 minutes.  I had to go to 2 counters; the first for free medicine.  The second for ubat yang kena bayar.  Both counters siap in 15 minutes.  

Btw, the time was around 1.50 pm.  Lunch time - still staff were very efficient.  

Yang tak laratnya tunggu turn for doctor's consultation.  We were told to participate in a research study.  Menyesal je agree for that study.  Punyalah banyak soalan.   My youngest boy almost jumped out of his chair sebab dah boring sangat.
