Here ade beberapa tis (petikan dr: The Star, hari ni..)
1. Stick to a budget
A budget will help u determine where your money is going. You need a budget whether u earn RM 1,000 or RM 10,000 pm.
2. Pay off credit card debt
Credit card debt is very easy to chalk up n things soon get out of control.
3. Have a saving plan
Resolve to get aside a minimum of 5% to 10% of your salary for savings before u start paying your bills. It is even better 2 have money automatically deducted from your paycheque and deposited into a separate account.
4. Invest!!
if u already have a retirement plan and a savings account and u can still manage 2 put some money into other investments such as property, then all the better.
5. maximise your employment benefits
Employment benefits such as healthcare are worth a lot of money. It is worth considering a lower paying jobs if it is comes with healthcare benefits which would avoid for expensive insurance coverage.
6. Review your insurance coverage
Insurance policies may overlap. Check with your employer if u are adequately covered. If u are paying 4 extra coverage on another policy, then consider whether it is still necessary. On the other hand, it's important that u have enough insurance to protect your dependents and your income in the event of death or dissability.
7. keep good records
Make sure u record every single deductible receipt that could save u money each time you file your income tax return.
8. Spend less than u earn
Going over budget every month means you have no savings and may go into credit which is not a good situation, esp in time of economic crisises.
9. Look out for bargains
There are lot of factory outlets where u can get perfectly good quality item for much less than theri normal retail price. U can also check this webiste:www.lelong.com.my
10. Save an utility and phone bills
If u have a prepaid plan, u may want 2 consider chaper post-paid ones. As long as you can control your talk time, most post -paid plans are cheaper than theri prepaid counterparts.
