Agul, can you elaborate on the first part please?
If we try to quiet our mind, stop our thought and be aware in this moment. There are actually no future, no past. Both are only something we think about.
If you find it hard to believe this, try to hold onto things that happens a few minutes ago, or even one second ago. can you touch it? Feel it? Taste it? Everything is just something we think about. Those thing do not happen now. those are just memories. You're reading my post at this instant. After that you went on your daily life. At that moment, my post are just something you remember. But if you came to read this post again, there it is again. So everything appear and keep disappearing at every instant.
Go to sleep, dreamless sleep and everything is gone. You wake up, the world comes a live again. Stop thinking, everything's gone. We may find it hard to fathom this, as we are so accustomed to the materialities of existance.
There was a nice tv show, wehere they simulate a shootout and when they a sk tose member of the audience, who shoot whom, how many time the gun are fired etc... everyone gives different version of their recollection. So effectively all are just perception based memories..  |

Many thanks, dear Agul.
Its more like a perception of time isn't it? Yesterday is passed and gone and what is left are memories and what are inscripted in the history books. As for the future, it isn't there yet. However, one may plan for it to an extent. If you don't someone else would and if it affects your space/interest, then who would you blame if it's not acceptable?

Yes. Exactly.
The only problem with us human is that we keep replaying the same thing in the past, over燼nd over with different outcomes usually with pangs of guilt, remorse and beating ourselves up.
What if, what if, what if... we are forever acting in the past, and future.
We forgot that we can only act now. Not in the past, not in the future.
How smart are we all? |

Yup. That's why we ought to learn from past mistakes/successes and move on into the future. Wallowing in self pity is simply punishing yourself and is of no good. Too much basking in your laurels is also not good as tomorrow brings new challenges |
