A'kum foremer..sesape yg penah pegi interview dengan MISC Berhad, bole share pengalaman..especially yg mcm sy xde experience dlm hal2 shipping and maritime..at least bole expect ape yg die nk tanye ms interbiu tu nanti...sbb major company kan..mesti die nk amik someone yg betul2 capable...help me out..thanks..appreciate all ur feedback..

dia tnye pasal general knowledge...
n litle bit psl misc, adk membe ni pergi ngn kwn dia...
dia ckp fully english n kwn dia ckp mix rsanya...
then, da result kwn dia selected...
so moral da story, lyte jgn nervous, be confident with ur answer... Insyallah de

oo..misc company yg acquired by petronas ke..

..jawatan administrative officer..ni pun isi through website MISC..camne interview petronas style..sounds like difficult jek..anyway you ni penah gi interview dgn MISC ke? klu penah..bole share experience?

elo seme foremer...leh mintak tolong sket...sesape yg penah keje dgn MISC berhad(subsidiary Petronas) atau yg penah gi interbiu die leh share tak? Sbb aku dpt telegram panggil interview untuk jawatan Administrative Officer(aku maen sebat jek apply)..interview die petronas style ke? ade siap role play2..dah lah aku ni grad social sciences..jenis rilek2..work culture kt MISC camne lak..

ada essay, personality test n u kena fill personal form before the interview...

first thing, be confidence.... take ur time to answer each questions... they might provoke u but if u handle with confidence it not be a problem for you.. answer every question with positive answer and manner even the question would leak out ur weakness... be humble and dig out all information about the company... u can score for this question ( what do u know about this company) if u know how.... good luck!

business my mom memang under contract dgn MISC.. sub petronas - dulu better
cuz just right under petronas....then  KLB masuk - kena go thru KLB.. then MISC ambil share -
no more KLB  thank god ...

ada one of my friends kerja kat MISC - good company though - dari segi wages not bad
ada bonus..ada annual company trip  juga.. -

Work environment in MISC Berhad... lebey kurang mcm maybank, kalo mcm maybank lebeh kurang mcm kerajaan le....since derang nak kekal kan culture derang, derang amik byk melayu,,,so good luck!...

btw, Petronas hold 64% majority stakeholding since 1998....minyak dah ada, tp mcm mana nak anta minyak, baik beli misc ada kapal...

ntah le..
terkezut gak..yang aku tau post nih dalam kapal..
so kene belayar le dalam 3bulan then sebulan cuti kat darat..

betul la tu sebab tu hemo tak pegi sebab early lagi dia dah mention yang benda ni off shore punya ...atas kapal untuk training hemo tak pegi sebab tak sanggup tinggal anak ngan hubby,.....so saper yang pegi tu goodluck yer

1st interview - Isi borang, take the psychometric test, essay writing (wht will u bring shud u be a staff of MISC bal bla bla). Normally the hiring manager with HR staff jadi panel. Hiring manager akan tanya soalan2 technical i.e related to the job being offerred, while the HR staff akan tanya hal2 berkaitan HR lah, mcm cuti ke, etc. And maybe menyampuk mana2 yg dia rasa dia nak nyampuk. Most probably, they will negotiate gaji jugak at this point, so HR is there to answer questions on benefits etc.

2nd interview - Shud they call u back for a second interview, they brief u on the process and wht's being done for this 2nd interview. Mula2 dia akan letak u dlm satu preparation room, dia akan bagi keterangan panjang lebar, kalau tak paham tanya je, for tips ke, they are helpful. Dia akan bagi satu case study, simple case study,just a paragraph long. And with it comes some questions. At the same time, u r required to expand on ur answers and not just rely on the given material. The case study is usually NOT related to ur job scope and the topic varies. So do read a lot and exercise ur mind, think critically. They r evaluating and interested in the way u think, not so much on ur knowledge on the subject matter. In short, GORENG je lah, tp goreng misti lah perancah yg best2, bukan main taram aje. 2nd part, is role play. They will give u a scenario, and expect u to become whtever the scenario requires u to be, e.g. Managing Director of a company ke, etc. It varies. Then the panel will be the other party and u need to play ur role according to the scenario given, so kalau ada bakat berlakon, ini lah masanya!!! Make sure u r always confident and think before u speak. The panel will consist of an HR manager and another personnel who might not be related to ur position at all, but all certified assessor lah. Dont worry, they MAY provoke, but u wont feel that u r being provoked, but they just want to make u think. And tht's wht they are interested in. Ada beberapa criteria yg dia org assess, but i cannot remember.
