Girls' Generation, also known as SNSD, the acronym of So Nyeo Shi Dae(Hangul: 소녀시대; Hanja: 少女時代) , is a nine member girl group formed in 2007 by SM Entertainment. The group debuted on SBSs Popular Songs on August 5 2007, performing their first single, "Into the new world". The members are (in order of official announcement) Yoona, Tiffany, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Seohyun, Taeyeon (the leader), Jessica, and Sunny. They are said to be a multilingual group. Aside Korean, they speak English, Chinese and Japanese. Both Jessica and Tiffany have been raised in America, Hyoyeon traveled to Beijing in 2004, and Sooyoung started out in the Japanese entertainment business first in the girl group Route-O in 2004.
On August 1 2007 SM Entertainment released the group's first single and music video for their debut song "다시 만난 세계 (Into the new world)" . After its success, a full self-titled album was released on November 1
2007 with the lead single "소녀시대 (Girls' Generation)".
Pre Debut
The members were professionally trained primarily in singing and dancing, while a select few were also trained in acting and modeling. Many of the members already had made stage names for themselves through their participation in magazine ads, television commercials, and small television appearances. For nearly two years, Korean websites speculated about which of the female SM Entertainment trainees would be placed into the group. Before the official release of the group name, Girls' Generation, it was rumored that the group would be named "Super Girls" after their so-called counterpart, Super Junior
Debut
On August 2 2007,the single "다시 만난 세계 (Into the new world)" was released. This singleincluded two other songs, "Beginning" and " Perfect For You (소원 ) ". A bonus, instrumental of "Into the new world" is also included.
The group began promoting the single soon after its release. On August 5 2007, Girls' Generation made their debut performance on SBS's Popular Songs,performing their first single. Although it was their first televisedperformance, it was lip-synched, making netizens doubt their liveperformance capabilities
A few days later, on August 11, Girls' Generation did their first live performance on MBCs Show! Music Core, which was met with mixed reviews. The day after, the group performed live for the second time on KBS's Music Bank. This performance also had mixed reviews by netizens.
After a short break, their first full album was released on November1, with the lead single "소녀시대 (Girls' Generation)". Promotion for thesingle started in early November.

wahh...ada jugak thread SNSD akhirnya...memula kenal YooNa sbb dia jadik model utk MV Super Junior - U..org selalu kompius antara Yuri n YooNa sbb nampak hampir sama n derang dipanggil TWINS in SNSD.. then,suka tgk Hyo Yeon sbb dia pandai menari n ada rumors psl dia dating dgn EunHyuk (Super Junior) selama 3 tahun...maybe sbb dedua pandai menari perhaps???

then,aku suka fanny fanny tiffany sbb minah ni kalau ckp korea mcm ada slang sket maybe sbb dia selalu ckp english kot...pehtu aku suka tae yeon the leader sbb dia ni comei n dorky mcm si perangai donghae...
sunny pulak aku penah baca kat soompi yg dia ni ada pertalian dgn Lee Soo Man iaitu CEO SM Entertainment,ramai ckp dia dapat debut sbb ada pertalian darah tapi aku rasa suara dia best n no wonder dia leh debut...

humm aku rasa sore diaorg not bad.. ok lagi dari girl band kat mesia ni ... but, lain org lain selera ... n aku rasa SNSD lagi ok dari Wonder Girls .. SNSD ni macam Super junior nye group, memasing ade kelebihan memasing n mmg tak sume bleh nyanyi dengan baik ... ade yg more to acting and dance..

girls group in msia mmg hancuss... freakin' true... cannot compare at all with others... SNSD's girls are cheeky and cute...perhaps in years time they will improve
aku pon rasa SNSD ni okay lagi n part crowded tuh,i dun think so sbb sepanjang yg aku tgk tarian n formation derang menarik n it's not easy nk menari dalam grup yg besar tau...they shud be credited for that...
