Brit Runs Light, Buys Tiny Tuxes, Has Test Glitch

Is it a day ending in "y"? Did the Earth revolve around the sun? Then Britney Spears must have made yet another knuckleheaded move. On the heels of a request from Kevin Federline's attorney to ban her from driving with Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, the sense-free, delayed-adolescence-having starlet has reportedly committed a serious traffic violation.
In video obtained by TMZ.com, Britney can be seen running a red light while crossing a busy Los Angeles intersection Thursday night in her dented, license plate-free white Mercedes convertible.
Alarmingly, she made the illegal turn with her sons asleep in the back (that's little Sean's exhausted head lolling to the side in the photo above) and the court-appointed monitor hiding from shutterbugs in the passenger seat.
Paparazzi surrounding the car, perhaps sensing the potential risk to their careening gravy train, can be heard warning her of the danger, shouting, "Red light! Red light!" to no avail.
Perhaps she was distracted by her cell phone, which she was snapped holding to her lips just moments before she slowly made her way into oncoming traffic (it's unclear whether she was reaching out and touching -- or texting -- someone).
Thankfully, the world does sometimes revolve around the empty shell on wheels, and the cars with the right of way stopped to let her through.
Federline's ever-vigilant attorney tells TMZ he plans to subpoena the footage for a court date set for Wednesday, when he'll presumably ask once again that Spears' driving privileges be curtailed when it comes to Sean and Jayden.
Britney has a long history of trouble behind the wheel, from giving Sean a lap-set driving lesson at the tender age of five months (her defense: "We're country") to her recent hit-and-run charge (settled out of court) and driver's license kerfuffle. And let's not forget how she reportedly ran over a deputy's foot while leaving court amid a shutterbug crush on Oct. 26 and parked in a handicap spot during a very important tanning session on Nov. 3.
Meanwhile, when not running lights with her tykes, Spears is buying them totally inappropriate togs.
People reports she popped into Los Angeles baby boutique Bel Bambini on Friday afternoon -- accompanied, as usual, by an army of photogs -- and dropped more than $2,000.
