Honda has released photos of the new 2007 Honda Stream in Japan. There are very obvious styling elements from the new 2006 Honda Civic in the 2007 Honda Stream, but the grille has been updated to look similiar to the latest Honda Odyssey. This kind of establishes Honda抯 MPV family look.


The first generation Honda Stream which has already undergone a mid-life facelift in 2004 was based on the Honda Civic chassis so it抯 safe to assume this new Honda Stream is also based on the new 2006 Honda Civic抯 excellent chassis. This should make it a good drive. This new Honda Stream will be offered internationally in two specification levels. The lower-end spec will feature the R18A 1.8 liter SOHC i-VTEC engine and a 5-speed automatic gearbox also found in our local Honda Civic 1.8S. The higher-end spec called the Stream RS-Z will feature the R20A 2.0 liter SOHC i-VTEC engine equipped with a CVT transmission instead of a K20A DOHC i-VTEC.
Since UMW Toyota recently launched the Toyota Wish CBU in Malaysia, we can expect Honda to update the Stream here on our local shores with this 2007 model too. For photos of the 2007 Honda Stream抯 interior, click here. As for the rest of the exterior photos, you wil find them after the jump.

Honda announced the release of an all-new Stream. Featuring a low-floor platform, the new Stream combines stylish compact exterior with a comfortable interior and powerful driving performance. With a low overall height of 1,545mm1, the new Stream has a modern dynamic look and fits conveniently into most restricted-height mechanical parking lots. The new, second-generation Stream is a 7-passenger car with the versatility and functionality to make getting around a true pleasure. Along with its vibrant, low-slung styling, it delivers total comfort and a feeling of integration wherever the driver and passengers come in contact with the vehicle ? whether getting in and out, steering, throttle response, or changing the seat arrangements. Body frame rigidity has been enhanced for improved driving performance, and the front sub-pillars have been eliminated to attain a significant increase in visibility. The floor design has also been significantly improved to create a flat foot area from corner to corner and a significantly lower floor for the third row of seats. These innovations mean improved passenger comfort as well as a lower center of gravity for superior handling.

CBU thailand.. rege dlm rm160k++.. tapi kat sngpore dah belambak dah.. so sesapa yg berhajat besor nak tangkap mpv.. this is the candidate... cuma yg aku harap msia version bwk masuk yg engine power la.. jgn mcm snpore.. 1.8 ajer.. dahtu SOCH plak.. 140PS ajer.. 174NM ajer.. baik lancer aku.. 155PS, 199NM.. stream ni dah la berat.. pastu xdo shiftronics plak (biar betil...???)  SGD80k? means msia.. dlm RM160k rite? hmmm. not worth it la kalo spec lagu tuh..

patut.. DOCH iVtec 2.0.. shiftronic.. kalo nak ganaz lagi.. letak engine K20A huhuh.. mau 220hp tu.. baru la pisang goreng laku..pastu CBU jepun..

plg laju blh drive stream ni cuma 160km/j....tu pun dah rasa nak bergegar stereng, jadi mcm wira aku dulu jgk.

dan yg best psl keta ni, tayarnya lebar/besar sket dari keta wira aku dulu...so kalau pecut camtu, lps 4 jam drive dari kl ni...aku dah sampai kampung kat aloq setaq nun.

Engine Stream baru semua SOHC, even utk model RSZ sekalipun, , wonder kalu boleh transplant K20Z dari civic aku , CVT mmg ada utk dua model 2.0l RSZ (FF version) ngan 2.0l Non-RSZ variant (FF version jugak), maybe kat singapore tak sampai dua variant nie, so orang tak tahu stream baru nie pun ada gak pedal shifter..RSZ version pakai R20A engine (150 PS/6200 RPM) ...suspension depan belakang pakai  MacPherson tak pakai double wish bone (macam civic)

ada gak tanya kawan aku kat pegoh plant, dia pun tak leh nak confirm HM akan bawak model nie next year boleh bawak model nie...

Honda Malaysia to Roll Out All-New Stream in November

Petaling Jaya, 9 October - Honda Malaysia announced today that the All-New Stream -- the second generation of the stylish 7-seater MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle), will be available for sale at all Honda authorized dealers in November this year.

According to Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr.Atsushi Fujimoto, Malaysian customers are anticipating and have been enquiring about the arrival of the new generation Stream."We are currently in the midst of preparing for its launch, and it will soon be made available to our customers in November through our authorized dealers nationwide," he said.
"Honda cars have a strong following here in Malaysia and we are confident that the All-New Stream will be well received. Only at Honda authorized dealers, all Honda vehicles including the new generation Stream come with 3 years warranty and free maintenance for the first six months. There will also be promotional offers for Stream parts and services, available at all authorized dealers," he added.

"The current Stream 2.0 iVS is priced at RM153,800. In the tradition of Honda's dedication to provide products and services of the highest quality at reasonable prices, the All-New Stream is packaged to delight our customers with its latest product features and specifications coupled with extensive after sales warranty and services," said Fujimoto.
49 of Honda's 52 authorized dealers nationwide are 3S Centers, which provide sales, service and spare parts under one roof, allowing customers to experience Honda's new products while perusing the after-sales facilities available. Prioritizing customer satisfaction and providing excellent after-sales service is what 3S is all about.

The Stream is a practical MPV combining dynamic styling features, advanced drivability and a real sporty image. It was first launched in Japan in October 2000 as a minivan and was developed to achieve a new 7-seater value concept based on three themes: a design anticipating the changing needs and style of the 21st century; sporty performance for the individual; and an innovative approach to interior space, comfort and refinement.
Following its introduction, the Stream recorded strong sales globally, with a total of 285,744 units sold particularly in the Japanese market where the average monthly sales exceeded original target of 6,000 to reach 10,000 units per month. It was one of the main contributing automobile models to Honda's worldwide 2001 fiscal year financial results.
Over the years, the Stream has also accumulated a string of award accolades in the Southeast Asia region, ranging from the Best MPV, 2002 (Straits Times Life Motoring, Singapore); Car of the Year, 2003 (New Straits Times MasterCard, Malaysia - Mid MPV Category); to Best MPV 2003 and Indonesia Car of the Year, Best Mini MPV, Best Compact MPV 2004 (Mobil Motor Magazine, Indonesia).

The spanking new generation Stream made its debut in Japan last July and 70,000 units already have been sold as of September 2007. It boasts a series of improvement from the previous generation stemming from Honda's renowned innovations and craftsmanship. After Japan, it was progressively launched in Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau, and has so far been well received. Honda Malaysia is expecting similar response and take-up from local customers.
