keje ngn pet mmg susah, byk keje..politik tu mmg memane keje ade...based on experience keje ngn derang, mmg byk tmpt kosong...opis pon about 60% kosong (petronas carigali)...kalau exec, mmg sikit ar derang pakai mcm kt plant..kt opis mmg byk staff under contract.....kalau kt site work misal nya kt tepi2 pantai tmpt org nak wat pipe laying project..engineer petronas betol2 nye dalam 2-5 org, lagi 60% contract & 30% engineer joint venture dr kompeni lain (schlumberger, murphy, shell rep etc etc)...
kalau kt plant, 40% non exec derang amik dr politeknik (mcm operators or askar kerahan), 30 % staffs JV, lain2 br la exec.....one thing yg i dgr dr workers shell, org petronas nie keje approve documents je...kdg2 sakit ati gak dgr org cakap camtuh, but nk wat camne...
satu plant mcm mlng 3 contohnye, derang letak bout 7 profesional engineer yg betol2 exec petronas (meaning scholars or old skool petronas GM or SME)...nie termasuk whole plant manager, day operation manager, operation manager, 3 process engineer & 1 control engineer....lagi 90% sume non exec operators, technicians n so on yg based on contracts....nie based on experience i keje situ dulu lah....
anyway, benefits mmg byk ar, from what ive heard so far, exec dpt loan umah n kete...of course kene tunggu offer letter ar...kalau bab performance allowance tue mmg besar ah ikut byk mane korang dpt perform/contribute each month cuz dier bagi performance allowance ekot KPI korang (key performance index or sth like that).....kalau SME (senior maintenance engineer), leh kaut dalam rm10k-rm20k per month (basic + allowance), tue yg part technical line....kalau admin line kureng sket ar cuz derang power bab2 politik....technical line tak pemes but gaji korang ribu2 lemon<-----nie sume i byk kali dgr ar dr pakcik2 engineer/staff yg i lepak ngn dulu...huhuhuhu.... |

erm bole tak aku kome skit (mesti ramai tak suke komen aku). aku rase org petronas aku kenal ramai yg spoil. tiap2 ari lepak starbucks.. kononnya lifestyle. pastu abis keje, tak bukak tie, tag pun tak bukak kalau bole nak satu dunia tau diorg keje petronas, padahal pi overseas, ramai gak tak kenal petronas cos aku keje multinational n bile diorg tanya pasal keje fiance aku (dia keje petronas). teammates aku kat oversea cam tak penah dgr pun nama co. tu..
member aku kat shell gaji 2x ganti than member2 aku kat petronas ni pun tak kecoh cam diorg.. low profile je.. aku takdela cakap sume org petronas camtu... cuma aku cam terpikir... petronas ramai melayu cam uitm, aku tak sure cane cara keje diorg... tapi tau la malay kan... kalau ramai bangsa lain, competitive la skit... aku from uitm shah alam but now keje and doing well at US company. so this is not a biased opinion...
fiance aku pun ade gak la ala2 poyo kuar ngan member petronas dia tu... dia tau aku tak suke sgt ngan bdk2 petronas ni... so dia mmg try to keep low profile in front of me. aku punye VP (omputih) lepak gile and kalau ko jumpe pun tak tau die sbnrnye VP cos low profile...
so kalau sesape nak masuk petronas, kalau bole try la ubah perspektif org2 luar (cos many of my friends pun tak suke sgt gelagat bdk2 petronas ni)...

hmm..rasa terpanggil plak utk memberikan komen on this topic. Straight to the point lah..kalo nak dibandingkan gaji keje ngn oil and gas co nie..kalo u guys baca psl shell and exxonmobil nye thread, i think gaji dorg lagi besar as to compare ngn petronas tapi kena pk on the workload and stress keje. Gaji tinggi bukan bermakna u bleh keje 9-5 yer dik, memg u kena perahh betul2 ngn depa..baru la berbaloi depa bagi u gaji tinggi2..if you are the one who likes challenge dan mengutamakan karier, so go for it. U deserve to be paid higher than what u're getting now.
In petronas, the challenge are still the same. That's why ramai juga yg keluar for a better money. Cuma the environment i think its less pressuring (but depends on what kind of work u're doing). On reward..you can still be rewarded not only by yearly bonus, tapi ada emm kind of performance reward. Politics..everywhere ada politics...dah nama manusia kalo bukan manusia maybe lah takde politik  I can say there are lots of potential leaders in petronas..especially the young ones cuma what i can say..yg muda2 nie tak sabar..too vocal and get frustrated easily..thats why ramai yg opt to go out. Psl engineer petronas yg kejenye tukang sign documents..documents memgla kena approve dulu before anythg can be done But they don't just simply approve..once u sign, u're the one who held the responsibility even the mistake is not done by u..so dun simply accused them on JUST signing documents

dlm petronas byk companies, maybe yg ske lepak2 tu jenis2 company yg tak crucial sgt kewujudan mereka. ada takpe, xde pun xpe. kalo mcm aku & the gang xde masa beb nak lepak2. pet mmgla tak sehebat shell or exxon, etc. even kat ofis aku ramai shell secondee & aku lg ske keje ngan derang. derang nyer style mmg lain ah.
pet GLC tu yg xbole tinggi2 sgt gajinya. yg hampeh lagi, GLC gaji paling rendah, petronas la!!! cam siot je. as wht my GM said, petronas can't make you rich but can give your career. & yg bestnya byk benefit & byk cuti. kui3x. cam esok (jumaat cuti ganti birthday agong), byk je company xcuti including gomen tp kitorang cuti je. siap tambah2 cuti gawai lg kalo kat sarawak tu.
aku mmg xde nk compare petronas ngan shell or other operating comps. derang dah lama as players dlm oil&gas, pe tronas baru je 30++ thn. & dlm petronas byk budak2 baru. cemana budak2 baru ni nk create a new culture walhal derang pun tengah perasan2 best lg keje ngan petronas.
kalo nk aply keje petronas (ikut exp my frend) paling senang cari ni tel HR, call je encik HR tu. online2, surat2 susah nk layan beb. belambak application, tu xmasuk budak2 skolarship lg. |
