The Celebrity Baby Blog's top celebrity baby born in 2006 is... Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt!



Another baby who already inspires art is Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, our pick for the top baby born in 2006.   The first biological child of A-list couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who in her short life has already joined Hollywood's A-list herself, and been immortalized in wax.  Her very first and only official photo shoot in People featured Shiloh wearing a t-shirt that sparked a national frenzy for one small boutique. And she has already had a much publicized Malibu play date with fellow celebrity baby Kingston Rossdale (our choice for third top celebrity baby born this year).



Shiloh was born on May 27th in the seclusion of Namibia, Africa, granting her a dual citizenship, much like her internationally-born siblings Maddox, 5, and Zahara, 23 months. No stranger to the tabloids for their rumored relationship, the world was in shock to find out that in less than a year after filing for divorce from his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, Brad and his new girlfriend  Angelina were going to have a baby of their own. This was even more surprising because the couple had never even officially acknowledged their relationship.  



Regardless of the the controversy surrounding her parents union, the world waited with baited breath for the birth of baby Jolie-Pitt. Since her debut, everyone wanted to see if Shiloh inherited the looks that helped make her parents famous.  We were treated to a glimpse in photos in the German magazine Gala showing the first actual picture of the whole Jolie-Pitt family together.  But then Christmas came early when both Hello! and People magazines published a photoshoot of the family in Cambodia, including a gorgeous close-up of Shiloh.

Baby 2: Top Celebrity Babies Born in 2006

The Celebrity Baby Blog #2 celebrity baby born in 2006 is  Suri Cruise.   

Suri entered the world on April 18th, amid tabloid speculation, paparazzi flutter, and Scientology conspiracy theories.  Born the first child of formerly B-list actress Katie Holmes and mega star Tom Cruise, Suri solidified a relationship that many believed to have been a creatively orchestrated publicity stunt.  As if her actual conception and birth didn't incite enough of  a riot of mystery and hysteria within the mass media, questions began to arise over Suri's actual existence.  Had Katie really been pregnant? Did the couple fake her pregnancy and adopt? Was Suri real? If she's real, where hadn't we seen her in public or in People magazine? The "Where is Suri" saga erupted, leading many of the couple's celebrity friends to "testify" on their behalf and confirm that not only was Suri real, but that they had seen the little girl and that she was "just  beautiful."

Only hours before the world's very first introduction to Suri in a much publicized issue of Vanity Fair, newly inducted CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric presented some of the exclusive photos on air, proving that Suri Cruise did in fact exist and that she looks like both of her parents (who, coincidentally, resemble each other), dispelling many disbelievers' doubts about Tom's paternity. During the now famous interview and photo shoot, Katie reportedly shared with the editor why she and Tom had waited so long to show baby Suri to the world, saying that the two planned to present Suri to the world, when they were ready. Suri again went into hiding, only making her second official public appearance as her parents arrived in Europe, preparing to legitimize their union in a celebrity-packed Italian wedding.



Although we are all happy to see that her parents now seem to have embraced the public appearance of their daughter, like on the return from their honeymoon, if Suri does disappear again, we'll always have her artistic impressions in addition to her sweet Annie Leibovitz portraits.

Baby 3: Top Celebrity Babies Born in 2006

The Celebrity Baby Blog's #3 celebrity baby born in 2006 is Kingston James McGregor Rossdale.



King, as his superstar parents call him, was born on May 26th, to an enthusiastic and fashionable pop star and a rocker.  His parents, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, named their son in dedication of two of their favorite places (Jamaica and England), only making it natural for the little guy to become a seasoned traveler as soon as he could fly. Kingston has become his mother's absolute constant companion, not to mention, favorite accessory and is always dressed to a tee from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. At only 6.5 months old, Kingston has already become known for his dapper 'dos and  his mother's fashion-consciousness concerning her son's attire.  As Gwen takes him everywhere she goes, he is also one of the most photographed Hollywood babies born this year, and we are so greatful that Gwen has no problem sharing her beautiful son with the world.

Baby 4: Biggest Celebrity Babies Born in 2006

The Celebrity Baby Blog's #4 Celebrity Baby Born this year is Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern.



Arriving on September 7 in the Bahamas, Dannielynn was born into a world of confusion and controversy. Rumored to have been named Hannah, Dannielynn's name was created in reverence to her brother Daniel who died three days after her birth, in her mother Anna Nicole Smith's hospital room. Daniel's death, although ruled accidental due to a drug mix-up is still somewhat of a mystery.

Confusion over Anna's lack of a relationship at the time of her pregnancy has led to a paternity battle that is still going on.  Though he proclaimed that he was the father of the baby during the pregnancy, Anna later announced that her ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead was not Dannielynn's father.  Instead, she insists that Dannielynn's biological father is her longtime lawyer, close friend, and apparent lover Howard K. Stern.   Larry  is fighting for paternity of her as well as parental rights concerning Dannielynn, who he claims is his daughter.  He has even had his lawyers try to force Anna to come back to the United States and submit to paternity tests, but Anna has so far fought it at every step (although she has since returned stateside).

Dannielynn's first cover story occurred at 3-weeks-old at her parents unofficial wedding/commitment ceremony in People magazine. That's not including her actual c-section birth, which is available for viewing on You Tube (of course).  She was later seen again in an ET interview, where Anna premiered exclusive insight into Dannielynn's birth and Daniel's death, as well as her developing relationship with Howard.

Baby 5: Top Celebrity Babies Born in 2006

Baby # 5 is Barron William Trump.



Barron was born the first son of his beyond-rich real estate mogul father, Donald Trump, and his third wife, model Melania (nee Knauss), on March 20th.  Although this little socialite in the making was born with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth, he is usually seen out and about with his mom. Making sure that their tike's world premiere was nothing less than stellar, Barron entered the limelight with a TV debut on Oprah, as well as a spread in People magazine.
