Boleh terangkan secara ringkas tentang backup dalam SQL Server. Perbezaan jenis backup macam full, differential dan faedah yang kita dapat. Apa strategi/plan you all bila buat backup? Help please. TQVM.

ni, secara ringkas apa yang oobi tau. katakan you run daily backup. kalau you set full backup, everyday your backup software akan backup the whole database. kalau you set to differential, initially your backup software akan run full backup. next job ia akan backup apa yang berubah dalam database tu. full backup lambat sikit nak habis while differential cepat. so, kalau your database is really big, kalau nak cepat backup, gunakan differential method. tapi, bagi oobi, kalau oobi boleh fit the whole data dalam satu tape, oobi akan run full backup tiap-tiap hari. kalau tak, oobi akan gunakan differential (but not preferable). oobi biasanya akan siapkan 2 weeks tape rotation for monday thru thursday, 4 tapes for friday backup (rotate every 4 weeks) and 1 end of the month tape backup (total 12 for the year) - this is for archive.

also, kalau your backup server is separate than your sql server, make sure you install sql agent of your backup software on your sql server (nak cepatkan backup process). and it's best to run backup overnight (masa tak de orang access the server at all).
