PLOT
When Prince Lee Bang-Won of Joseon patrolled the northern region, he faced an evil spirit which wanted to dominate human beings. Prince Lee Bang-Won was able to seal away the evil spirt.
Now, Lee Bang-Won has ascended to the throne and has taken the title of King Taejong (Kam Woo-Sung). He is cool-headed, but a powerful king. King Taejong is proud of the fact that he helped his father establish the Joseon dynasty. He also feels heavy guilt from killing so many people during the founding of Joseon. The evil spirit which King Taejong sealed away in the past resurrects itself on the land of Joseon. To seal the evil spirit away, King Taejong must again fight the evil spirit.
Meanwhile, King Taejong has sons Crown Prince Yangnyeong (Park Sung-Hoon) and Prince Chungnyeong (Jang Dong-Yoon). Prince Chungnyeong’s only interest is to learn academics. He suddenly faces a crisis caused by the evil spirit. To protect the people of Joseon, Prince Chungnyeong jumps into the war against the evil spirt.
Crown Prince Yangnyeong seems full of confidence. He actually lives with chronic anxiety over whether he will be recognized by his father King Taejong. He tries to be recognized by his father, but his actions never seem good enough. Nevertheless, King Taejong has a strong desire to have his first son Crown Prince Yangnyeong become the next king. Greed then consumes Crown Prince Yangnyeong to enter into a contract with the evil spirit.

SBS Permanently Cancels “Joseon Exorcist” After 2 Episodes Due To Historical Distortion Controversy
SBS has announced that they will be permanently canceling “Joseon Exorcist.”
On March 26, the network released the following official statement about the new drama, which just aired its first two episodes earlier this week:
We are informing you of SBS’s position on “Joseon Exorcist.”
As SBS deeply recognizes the severity of the current situation [regarding the drama], we have decided to terminate our broadcasting rights contract for “Joseon Exorcist” and cancel all broadcasts of the drama.
At the moment, SBS has already paid most of the fees for the broadcasting rights to the drama in question, and the production company has already completed 80 percent of filming.
Although we are concerned about the financial losses incurred by both the broadcast network and the production company, as well as the gap in our programming, SBS feels a heavy responsibility as a public broadcast network, and we are informing you that we have decided to cancel the program.
Immediately after its premiere on March 22, “Joseon Exorcist” came under fire for its use of Chinese-style props and food, which many viewers pointed out was a distortion of Korean history.
Although SBS released an initial statement of apology and explanation, the backlash from viewers continued to grow when the second episode of the drama included more Chinese-style elements. Soon afterwards, all of the sponsors of “Joseon Exorcist” pulled out of the drama, and the network announced that it would be taking a one-week break to revise the series.
However, just two days later, SBS has now confirmed that the drama will not return to air.

Itulh...bukan klu drama yg menggunakan tema sejarah/historical/saeguk mesti production kena refer dgn historical advisory dan mesti kna dpt approval dr pihak yg berkenaan sblm nk buat drama ka....agknya producer gelap mata la kot sbb dpt funding yg besar utk drama ni....depa lupa komen2/suara2 K-Netz tu mcm mna.....igt lg kes AOA (GG) dlm show apa ntah (dah lupa) gelak2 ka atau xtau lgsung psl sejarah Korea pun kena kecam xigt smpai kna buat PC minta maaf dan masing2 siap study balik sejarah Korea....
Ya lg 1 hubungan ngr China & Korea mmg ada mslh....la ni China skg dok claim smua produk Korea asl dr depa, dgn artis kelahiran China pun jd idol kat Korea sana....ntah la mmg ssh nak berdamai ja tgk
