COVID-19: Tak dibekalkan topeng, jururawat ini terpaksa letak jawatan

TENNESSEE: Seorang jururawat di sebuah hospital di Tennessee, Amerika Syarikat (AS) meletak jawatan kerana mendakwa tidak diberi perlindungan sewajarnya ketika dia dan petugas perubatan lain bertungkus lumus merawat pesakit COVID-19.

Brandi Rahmanian berkata hospital di mana dia bertugas mengikuti semua garis panduan yang diberi Pusat Kawalan Penyakit Berjangkit (CDC), tetapi mendakwa petugas tidak diberikan topeng perlindungan N95 ketika berurusan dengan pesakit yang tidak mempunyai gejala.

"Saya dimaklumkan kami mempunyai bekalan topeng yang cukup tetapi berkemungkinan bekalan akan habis tidak lama lagi.

"Saya menyatakan kebimbangan dan beritahu mereka, kami sepatutnya mengenakan topeng setiap kali kami masuk ke bilik pesakit yang disyaki atau yang sudah disahkan positif," katanya kepada stesen televisyen WATE 6.

Dalam kes hampir serupa di Chicago, seorang jururawat, Imaris Vera meletak jawatan selepas pentadbir hospital menghalangnya daripada memakai topeng pelindung N95 yang dibawanya sendiri.

"Saya mempunyai bekalan topeng N95 sendiri. Saya beritahu pengurus, saya faham kita kekurangan bekalan, tetapi berilah peluang saya melindungi diri sendiri. Sayangnya saya tak dibenar berbuat demikian.

"Saya ada keluarga. Apa yang terjadi di hospital itu tidak akan membantu keadaan menjadi lebih baik.

"Amerika tidak bersedia, dan jururawat tidak diberi perlindungan," katanya dalam video yang dimuat naik di media sosial.

"Saya sayangkan kerjaya saya, tetapi hari ini saya pilih untuk hidup," katanya dalam esakan.

apa2 pun keputusan frontliner itu adalah tepat.  mrk berhak lindungi diri mrk sebelum org lain.  mcm atas flight... kita wajib pakai topeng oksijen sebelum pakaikan kpd org lain

Trump you repeatedly make reference to fighting a war, you have no idea how to fight a war. For the sake of the american lives being lost daily, let the people who  know what to do , do it. The feds should be buying bulk and distributing to those who need. It is a time for action, not verbal rhetoric about how great YOU and your team are doing. Right now YOU getting a "F".Stop lying, blaming others and take responsibility for your delayed action."

Ade tu lg lah..resign lepas kena kerah jaga wad covid padahal dia kata tiada siapa boleh jaga anak2 dia during quarantine kalo kena work long hours,double shift bagai. Dia utamakan keluarga beliau sendiri.plus dia kata dia high risk kalo terjangkiti.i dont blame her though.
