I work with many American analysts on South China Sea issues and I feel that this writer is not familiar with Malaysian affairs. He gets basic things wrong. Malaysia is neither an island nation nor a South Asian nation. Perhaps he's thinking of Sri Lanka - an actual South Asian island nation. He is also unfamiliar with the structure and culture of Malaysia. He uses "ruling family" indicating he thinks that Malaysia has one royal family presiding over the whole country like other countries with monarchy today.
From the author's own website, he claims to be a former air force pilot with engineering background, a Wall Street bond trader, a movie producer, a novelist etc. His background does not point to a serious and long-standing scholar of Southeast Asian affairs. Thus, I would take his views with a large pinch of salt. |

Yg lokman pun heshe xnak saman..buang masa nk fokus prk shj katanya.sepatut saman je kan utk tegaskan dia sm sekali xterlibat dgn perkara sebegini...tp nk buat mcm dia..anwar komited utk lebih fikirkan rakyat. |
