The title of the 3d Roxette's album comes from te words of Paul McCartney, who once told in an interview about writing songs with John Lennon was a long joyride. The album was recorded at EMI Studios in Stockholm and at Tits & Ass Studio in Halmstad between January and November 1990. It's the best selling Roxette album so far! On the spine of the album the words 'Don't bore us - get to the chorus' are printed - like a subtitle. This slogan is borrowed from the Brill Building in New York City where songwriters Leiber & Stoller used to work. The CD and cassette of 'Joyride' includes 3 bonus tracks (missing on the LP) of which one, 'Soul deep', is a partly re-recorded version of the song with new guitars, bass and a new mix compared to the version inclided on the band's debut album 'Pearls of Passion'.

'Tourism - songs from studios, stages, hotelrooms & other strange places' is Roxette's 4th album and it's not a live, but a tour album. The album contains live tracks and recordings made during band's first world tour 'Join the Joyride'.

Crash! Boom! Bang!

This is Roxette's fifth album and Per Gessle says about its title was taken from the Elvis Presley's song 'Jailhouse Rock'. This is actuallu is not true (although the lyrics do include the phrase 'crash, boom, bang') because Per remembered the lyrics after the title of Roxette's album had been decided and he thought it would be cool to mention this phrase in interviews! The album was recorded at EMI Studios in Stockhom, at Mayfair Studios in London, at Capri Digital Studios in Isola Di Capri and at Tits & Ass Studio in Halmstad between February 1993 and January 1994. In Europe 5 singles were released from this album and they all included previously unrleased versions of some of their songs or completely new songs unavailable elsewhere. Before the album was released in North America, a special 10-tr. version of the album, called 'Favourites from Crash! Boom! Bang!' was sold in McDonald's fast-food restaurants for a limited period of time. The Japanese release of this album contains the song 'Almost unreal' as a bonus track.

Rarities

Release date: 17 February, 1995 (Japan)

'Rarities' is a Roxette compilation album specially compiled by Per Gessle comprised of songs only previously released on singles. The album was only supposed to be sold in South East Asia for 3 months as an extra promotion for the 'Crash! Boom! Bang!' tour which took place in this part of the world at the time when the album was released. The Malaysian issue of the CD was, however, exported in large quantities to Europe and thr album was later also released in South America. 'Vulnerable', 'Fingertips 93', 'Dressed for success', 'Fireworks' and 'Spending my time' are remixed versions previously only available on singles and not included on any Roxette album. 'Joyride', 'The look' and 'Dangerous' (all from MTV Unplugged) and 'Almost unreal' (demo) were all released as extra songs on singles. These versions of the songs were previously not available on any Roxette album.

Don't bore us - Get to the chorus

Release date: 23 October, 1995

This is actually the first commercial Greatest Hits album that EMI has released by Roxette. The title 'Don't bore us - get to the chorus' was first used on the spine of the album 'Joyride' as a sort of subtitle and during the world tour 'Join the Joyride' this message was printed on the back of Per Gessle's guitar picks. The album includes 4 newly recorded songs, 3 of which were released as singles. The song 'The look' was remixed and released as the single 'The look '95' in the UK only, but this version of the song was not included on the album. The songs 'June afternoon' and 'She doesn't live here anymore' were recorded with most of Per Gessle's group Gyllene Tider (G鰎an Fritzson was the only band member missing).

Balladas en Espanol

Release date: 2 December, 1996
Singles: Un dia sin ti, No se si es amor, Soy una mujer

On this CD Roxette sing some of their ballads in Spanish and the new vocals for this album were recorded in 1996 at EMI Studios in Stockholm. The original recordings of the songs were used but they were slightly remixed to fit the new lyrics which were re-written and adapted into Spanish by Luis G. Escolar.

Recorded at El Cortijo Studios in Marbella (Spain) and at Polar Studios, Cosmos Studios and Atlantis Studios in Stockholm between January and October 1998. The album was released all over the world, except in the USA. All of the European-released singles included previously unreleased versions of Roxtte's songs or completely new songs unavailable elsewhere. When the album was to be released in the Middle East, naked children were removed from the cover for religious reasons. This special edition was made in The Netherlands but for sale in the Middle East only. In some countries the CD was re-released in the fall of 1999 but this time, the album included 3 Spanish songs as bonus tracks. The songs 'Quisiera volar' (Wish I could fly), 'Alguien' (Anyone) and 'Lo siento' (Salvation) were translated into Spanish by Luis G. Escolar, who also translated some of Roxette's ballads into Spanish for the album 'Balladas En Espanol' (1996).

Singles: The centre of the heart, Real sugar, Milk & toast & honey

The album was recorded at Atlantis Studios and Polar Studios in Stockholm, Sweden between January 2000 and January 2001. It was released all over the world (excl. USA, where Roxette still haven't any contract with any record company). The Japanese issue of the CD includes the songs 'Entering your heart' as a bonus track and this version of the song differs from that, included on 'The centre of the heart' single. In South Africa the album was reissued in the fall of 2001 and this time EMI included a special remix CD as a bonus. The remixes are available on various singles around the world, but this CD is unique and unavailable anywhere else.

Aku mmng minat ngan roxette ni sejak dari dulu lagi...nak kata sampai fanatik or die hard fan tu idak ler...

Kisah nyer lebih kurang cam ni ler....sekitar tahun 94...time tu tgh giler ngan lagu lagu ni...maklum ler di awal remaja...aku pernah pinjam kaset ngan member aku ntah ape compilation ntah..ala pirate nyer...hehehe..kat dalam tu ade la....lagu 'how do you do'(time tu aku tak tahu tajuk lagu tu..sebab cover kaset pun tak de)....memula dengar ish lagu ni cam best tapi naper suara mamat memula ni tak merdu..(hehehehe)....

Then banyak kali dengar aku dah leh accept Per Gessle nyer style suara dier tu..nak pegi cari(nak beli) le kasetnyer, tak tahu plak saper yg nyanyi, tanyer member aku ..dier cakap Roxette...

Kebetulan time tu plak...album Crash Boom Bang baru kuar kek pasaran..ermm yg aku ni tak tahu...tengok jer roxette..terus aku beli...hajat ade la lagu 'how do you do' dalam album tu...malang nyer takder.....

Dan tak disangka...aku dah mula menyukai album tersebut...dah mula jatuh cinta ngan Vulnerable,Sleeping In My Car,I'm Sorry dan kesemua lagu...bermula dari situ  ...aku kumpul semua album Roxette..bermula ngan Look Sharp hingga ler yg terakhir sekali Roxette The Pop Hits...

Selain tu aku ade gak Album Solo yg pernah Per Gessle buat.."The World According to Gessle"(1997)...lagu hit dier Do You Wanna Be My Babby"...tapi kurang mendapat sambutan .....kat malaysia ni pun radio 4 rajin gak pasang lagu roxette...

Terbaru ..Per Gessle ade planning nak wat album roxette seterusnyer...dier cakap roxette belum berakhir....memandangkan Marie yg semakin pulih selepas operation beberapa tahun dahulu....
