baru2 ni saya dapat guna telekom cdma (kat rumah takda landline) utk dial internet.
ikut telekom punya buku manual tu, aku dah setkan semuanya:
OS aku: WINXP Pro
modem driver: Standard 19200 bps Modem (COM1)
Maximum port speed: 115200
Init string: AT+CMUX=F,1;AT&C2+CRM=135
COM1 dah set baudrate: 115200
kat cdma tu pon dah set kan baudrate 115200
semasa connect internet pun dapat connection speed 115.2kbps
tapi masalahnya, semasa aku surfing atau d/l tu, aku rasa connection dia lebih slow dari dialup biasa. kat opis aku (landline) cuma bleh dapat connect 46kbps, tapi surfing lebih laju.
Ada sesape bleh bagi komen tak? tia.

ur modem speed is 19200 bps. Even dia cakap connected at 115200bps, tapi connection tu cuma dari modem ke pc, bukan dari modem ke modem ISP. |

tapi skrg ni memang ada prob utk cdma error 629,619....
cdma boleh buat call, coz telekom bg priority utk cust buat call....so kalu ramai yg buat call, line utk buat connection akan tinggal sikit, so mungkin congest...tapi kalu refer ngan telekom memang telekom cakap line cdma ok...blm dpt feedback dr telekom lagi...progress utk prob ni... |

cdma allows data rate up to 64kbps .. it is a multiple of channels. But the channels will be prioritze to voice calls. Masa tak de org buat call, u can enjoy the full rate. tapi, bila ada org buat call, one of the channel will be dropped. bila dah voice call hang up, the system will automatically add up another channel to u.
jadi, ur data rate will be fluctuate from 9.6kbps - 64kbps depending on voice calls. |

lagi satu,
memang the connection of cdma to tmnet is very much faster kalau dial up since from the cdma system has direct connection to tmnet server. manakala dial up, it's via node dan kemudian baru diconnect to server tmnet.
kalau u all notice, the authentication is very fast since cdma ada proxy server for authentication ...

lebih kurang macam "network switch" la yek? kalo 10port, 10pC donlod kazaa maunya lembab connection tuh.
so, kalu cdma 1 area, 10 user buat fon call dalam 1 area tuh , drop la speed dia... gitu? |

simple calculation ... kalau base station ada 10 channel & ada 10 user, and u one of them yg guna data. u'll get the minimum speed 9.6kbps. kalau ada satu call dah hang up, u akan dpt additional satu lagi channel ...

firstly, we have to understand, cdma is a cellular technology. It uses Base station and frequency to serve customers. In one base station, ada 3 sector. in each sector ada about 22 channels allocated for simultaneous calls for each frequency band. In some areas, only one frequency band allocated whereas in a more populated areas, second frequency band has been made available. So, total, at any one time, one sector can serve 22 - 44 calls simultaneously.
What makes this cdma beauty, the limiting factor is the noise level. Each channel is a noise to another channel. Selagi, the noise level is still can be tolerate, there's possibility that more simultaneous calls can be served. The figure 22 per sector per frequency band is just the number for easy calculation. |

actually, noise bukan main component yang tentukan speed/rate, tapi lebih kepada panjang spreading code ..
CDMA = code division multiple access..
simple case
setiap channel/org ade code ... code tu panjang dia L .
kalau L=8 .... 8 channel / user serentak. (L integer dalam bentuk 2^n)
komputer u biler nak hantar data .. dia akan sediakan simbol ..
sampai kat cdma ni ... dia akan pecahkan satu symbol kepada L symbol yang lebih kecik yang dipanggil chip.. maksudnya ... dalam masa satu data sebenar .. kena hantar L data kecik ..
cuma masalahnya ... modem tu takleh hantar lebih dari 64k "data kecik" sesaat
jadi ..
kalau nak system laju .. kena kecikkan L ... tapi biler kecikkan L ... org yang bleh guna serentak plak kurang .. ataupun jumlah channel kurang ..
nak system banyak user, kena panjangkan L ... tapi slowkan system
jadi ..
utk implement cdma ni ..
* samada ubah panjang code setiap masa mengikut keperluan (macam UMTS/3G), ataupun
* fixkan panjang code .. fix channel number .. kalau tak ramai org , kasi org yang yang online channel yang tak digunakan ... sama macam system ISDN yang ada citer pasal channel B lah ape tah ..

noise is plays an important role in CDMA esp over the air utk menentukan how many channels can be used for communication.
Memang what u said is right, tak mempengaruhi speed/rate. |
