An American driver received a bit of a shock earlier this month when he noticed a snake making its way up the bonnet of his car.
Video footage taken by motorist Ryan McMurphy, who was making his way along Interstate 85 in Buford, Georgia on June 1, shows the determined reptile slithering up the bonnet of the moving car.
Upon reaching the driver's door, the snake can be seen proceeding to poke its head in through the open window, causing the McMurphy to exclaim: "What the hell?"
The snake did not do any harm to McMurphy or his vehicle though. After it had done enough car surfing for one day, the reptile decided to go on its way, crawling off the automobile and disappearing back into the wild.
