What if the Bible merely exaggeration of what really happened?

We know that the Bible exaggerated a lot of things - like THOUSANDS of people following Jesus Christ and that Jesus could feed ALL OF THEM with magically summoned bread and fish (raw?) daily and yet no one come forth to defend Jesus when he was arrested, prosecuted, dragged through the streets, nailed to a cross and left to rot for three days.

Hell, even Anuar Ibrahim seems to be more popular than Jesus to the extend that his followers continued to fight for his release despite of pressure from the government and the police to do otherwise.

So what if the so-called "Flood" is nothing more than a devastating localized event occurred in the Middle East in the past? For example, below :-

The UN's weather agency on Tuesday announced the highest wave on record -- a behemoth that towered 19 metres (62.3 feet) above the North Atlantic.

Scrutiny of data sent back by an automated buoy showed a monster wave rose at 0600 GMT on February 4, 2013 at a remote spot between Britain and Iceland, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said.

"This is the first time we have ever measured a wave of 19 meters. It is a remarkable record," WMO deputy chief Wenjian Zhang said in a statement.

Taller than a six-storey building, the mighty wave occurred after a "very strong" cold front had barrelled through the area, producing winds up of 43.8 knots (81 kilometres, 50.4 miles per hour).

The previous record height for a wave was 18.3m, notched up in December 2007, also in the North Atlantic.

If a rogue wave of similar fashion were to travelled through the Straits of Mediteranean and hit the coastal regions of today's Cyprus, North Africa and the Middle East.

An event of such magnitude could become basic for a massive flood story which overtime become exaggerated to become a global flood story by its survivors who hike their own importance of surviving the disaster as some sort of sign from the gods that they are chosen people. It could also help to ensure the newer generations (who could have lost their loved ones) did not turn their back from their religion by pushing forth how great they are to have survived it.
