NEWS's Koyama Keiichiro to be a newscaster!
Koyama Keiichiro (25) of the popular group, NEWS, will join NTV's new evening news program "News Every" as a regular caster. Starting on the 29th, it will run from Mondays to Thursdays at 4:53PM, and on Fridays at 5. In the same bureau in which Arashi's Sakurai Sho works with "NEWS ZERO," Koyama will be a new type of reporter, working with and covering the lives of people living with disabilities.
Koyama will be the new "face" of the show.
"News Every" will be NTV's first new news program in four years. Fujii Takahiko (38) will serve as the main caster, and Jinnai Kimiko (45), Maruoka Izumi (38) will also appear. Koyama will appear once a week, covering stories on his own and introducing them from the studio.
Koyama learned sign language last year while serving as the main personality for "24 Hour TV." In constrast to the brilliant world of idols, Koyama, in order to keep helping others, became level 4 certified in sign language.
Koyama's role will be to draw attention to another side of life. Producer Shimomura said he hopes that the "show's concept of getting the younger generation to understand 'everyone is living easily', and so to cover that, Koyama will meet with the weak* to give help give them strength."
With the show's particulars decided, from here on, Koyama is expected to meet with and cover the sick, the elderly, orphaned children, and others. He will also do a talk corner in the studio with Dr. Kamata Minoru of Suwachou Hospital.
In taking on this new type of casting, Koyama said that, "(through broadcasting these stories) I hope to positively present their lives. To present that power in my own words to everyone," and that was all he could think about. As for NTV evening news shows, there haven't been any shows which highlight these kinds of issues.

Ryo Nishikido Finished Shooting of the Movie "Chonmage Purin"!
Ryo Nishikido (錦戸亮), the member of both NEWS and KANJANI∞ finished the shooting of the movie "Chonmage Purin/ちょんまげぷりん".
Nishikido is playing a Yasubei who travels through time from Edo period (180 years ago) who meets a single mother Hiroko (Tomosaka Rie) and her son Tomoya (Suzuki Fuku). In order to thanks for the accommodation, Nishikido starts cooking and makes pudding for Tomoya. And during the stay together, these three persons become inseparable...
The original story is adapted from the book "Fushigi no Kuni no Yasubei / ふしぎの国の安兵衛".
The shooting started from February 6th. Only one month, Nishikido has become a man who speaks "...degozaru (でござる)", the sentence used by ancient Japanese. Surprisingly, all cake-cooking scenes are finished by Nishikido himself. Both Tomosaka and Suzuki said it matched Nishikido perfectly.
It is also the first time for Nishikido to play the main role in the movie. "I feel like: 'I made it!' I became a patisserie during the stay with a single mom and her son, and made various cakes. I felt released when shooting finished. And I believe it is a movie to be well-received by everyone." commented Nishikido, "White day is coming...boys, how about giving her a pudding as the present?"
The movie is not only a comedy but also a movie will remind you of Samurai and ancient Japan. With the heart-warm story, let's enjoy the cooking skill of Nishikido!
