Liverpool setuju jual Alonso.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- REUTERS

Liverpool setuju syarat perpindahan Aquilani.
06/08/2009 3:08am

- AFP

REDS WIN IN NORWAY.
This is Anfield 05 August 2009

Liverpool got back to winning ways in Norway with Andriy Voronin and David Ngog helping the Reds to a comfortable 2-0 victory over FC Lyn on Wednesday evening.

Welcomed by an adoring Norweigan support in the Bislett Stadium, Rafa Benitez named a very experimental starting line-up.

New summer signing Glen Johnson started, along with Ryan Babel and Dirk Kuyt captained the team for the first time.

But it was Lyn who impressed first when striker Davy Angan forced an impressive save from distance from Diego Cavalieri early on.

Jay Spearing went close for Liverpool minutes later before Voronin gave the Reds the lead just before half time, heading home after dazzling work on the wing by an impressive Babel.

The second half saw Benitez reshape things and Javier Mascherano and company were brought into action as Liverpool controlled the pace of the game under a cool setting Scandenavian sun.

Ngog doubled the lead finishing off a bright move between Mascherano and Andrea Dossena. The young French striker expertly finishing past Tyrell Lacey.

It was only Liverpool's second victory of pre-season and they now return to England for Saturday's final pre-season friendly at home to Atletico Madrid.

Liverpool claimed their second win of the pre-season campaign with a 2-0 victory over FC Lyn in Oslo.

Andriy Voronin headed the Reds into the lead on the stroke of half time before David Ngog doubled their advantage just shy of the hour mark to seal the win for Rafa Benitez's men in an entertaining encounter in Norway.

With the Bislett Stadium bathed in bright early evening sunshine, Liverpool entered the arena sporting their classy new all-white European away strip.

The Reds made an encouraging opening, but it was Lyn who recorded the first shot on target when striker Davy Angan escaped down the right before drilling a shot goalwards that Diego Cavalieri was forced to repel around the post.

Liverpool's first opportunity of note arrived in the 16th minute as Jay Spearing created space for himself on the edge of the box before firing a left-footed shot narrowly wide of the upright.

But Lyn were determined to belie their position at the foot of the Norwegian Tippeligaen and Endre Knuden saw a curling shot palmed behind by Cavalieri.

The Brazilian stopper was called into action again seconds later as he tipped Stanley Ihugba's ferocious long-range effort to safety.

Andrea Dossena flashed a shot over the crossbar as Liverpool hit back, before Lucas' drive was turned over by goalkeeper Tyrell Lacey.

After the resulting corner was half-cleared, Glen Johnson reclaimed possession and fizzed a dangerous ball into the box towards Martin Kelly, however his close-range shot was superbly blocked by Lyn's American custodian.

Both teams were threatening and Angan stabbed over as the Norwegians counter-attacked from another Reds corner, prior to Voronin scooping the wrong side of the post at the other end following a slick move from the visitors.

Then, on 37 minutes, Lyn opened up the Liverpool defence as Erling Knudtzon played Jo Berget in behind Mikel San Jose. The striker managed to lift the ball over the onrushing Cavalieri, but could only watch on as his shot cannoned back off the post.

The game continued to swing from end-to-end and Voronin's chip from the edge of the box was stopped by Lacey.

Kuyt then should have broken the deadlock on 43 minutes when he headed wide from close-range following Ryan Babel's centre.

However, Liverpool did take the lead inside a minute later. Babel was again the architect, this time the Dutch winger left defenders trailing in his wake as he burst into the box before sending an inviting cross to the back post, where Voronin was on hand to nod home and ensure Benitez's charges went into the interval holding the advantage.

Five changes were made at the break, but it didn't disrupt Liverpool's rhythm and they further extended their lead 14 minutes after the restart.

Substitute Javier Mascherano's delightful cross-field pass picked out the run of Dossena on the left, and the Italian surged into the area before cutting the ball back for Ngog to steer beyond Lacey with aplomb.

The goal signalled the introduction of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres into the action, much to the delight of those inside the stadium, and the duo were heavily involved in setting-up Kelly's low drive that shaved the outside of the post on 74 minutes.

Benayoun then brought a routine stop out of Lyn's replacement keeper Arnar Petursson, and the Reds were able to see out the remainder of the game in relative comfort.

An injury to Albert Riera proved to be the only negative on what was another valuable work out for Benitez's squad ahead of the start of the new campaign.
