KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 — Ihsan Perdana Sdn Bhd today denied that it was a conduit to channel RM42 million from 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) into Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s personal accounts.
Responding to a report by the Wall Street Journal alleging that the firm diverted funds meant for corporate social responsibility programmes towards the prime minister, the firm said the allegation was baseless and untrue.
“I strongly deny any transfer of money into the personal account of the prime minister as alleged by the media reports,” Ihsan Perdana managing director Datuk Dr Shamsul Anwar Sulaiman said in a statement.
“The corporate social responsibility projects carried out by Ihsan Perdana are fully audited and accounted for.”
In its report today, the WSJ, citing documents from Malaysian investigators currently scrutinising the troubled 1MDB’s financials, claimed that the money trail shows that some US$700 million (RM2.6 billion) were moved between government agencies, banks and companies before it ended up in Najib’s accounts.
These documents, the international business paper claimed, include bank transfer forms and flowcharts put together by investigators to shed light on 1MDB’s cash flow.
Among the alleged deposits were RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd, a former 1MDB subsidiary, which was funnelled through Ihsan Perdana.
The Prime Minister’s Office and 1MDB have both denied the allegations, while the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today said it has opened an investigation into SRC International.

WORD FROM DR M IS OUT: NO SPECIAL TREATMENT FOR NAJIB, HE MUST FACE THE MUSIC
1. One of the greatest achievements of Malaysia is in the collection of taxes. Malaysians willingly pay taxes. They fear legal action being taken against them. They fear more the raids on their businesses and residences by the income tax authorities. I know this because I was raided when I was expelled from the party and was working as a medical practitioner.
2. They got hold of my cheque stubs and nothing I said would convince them that the money in my account was not all mine. In the end I had to pay more than twice what they claimed I had not declared.
3. The income tax people are always on the lookout for people who live beyond their means. They would raid these people and would force them to pay additional tax should they feel that the culprit had not paid up fully on their wealth.
4. But of late we see some selectivity in the focus of the income tax people.

5. For example the step son of the Prime Minister is reported to have spent hundreds of millions of USD or Ringgit buying luxury residences in London, New York and Hollywood. He also expended many millions to finance the production of the film “The Wolf of Wall Street”.
6. When the Prime Minister’s Office claimed it was inherited money the brothers of Najib protested. Their father was not rich and did not leave hundreds of millions of Ringgit to the family. Even Najib had to admit that Tun Razak did not have such money to leave to his family. So where did this money come from?
7. It was claimed that the money was from business. If he made so much money from business he would have paid income tax. Has the income tax people investigated him regarding his business profits. How much tax had he paid. It is a secret of course. But I hope it is not a cover-up.
8. Then there is Jho Low. He bought a bank for 260 million US dollars. Where did he get the money. Is it borrowed? Did he sell the bank and paid taxes on the profit.
9. He also bought luxury flats in New York and Hollywood. Where did the hundreds of millions he paid for all these come from? Has he paid tax on them?
10. I believe executives of 1MDB and its subsidiaries are paid high salaries. Have they paid taxes on their earnings?
Equality before the law, no discrimination
11. I understand that the Prime Minister as adviser to 1MDB is not paid anything. He is paid the Prime Minister’s salary, which I know is far smaller than what business executives get. But the Government pays allowances, the electricity and water bills, transportation, home, etc. So the salary can all be saved and spent.
12. But still the lavish lifestyle must cost a packet. It must be more than what I saved after 29 years in the Government.
13. It is a secret of course. But I just want to ask, has the income tax people investigated the source of the money and the tax paid.
14. We talk about equality before the law. In this country even the rulers are subject to certain laws. It is the essence of justice. We must be equal before the laws and we must be seen to be equal. Everyone who should be investigated by Government agencies must be investigated. There should be no discrimination. - chedet.cc

Pengguna media sosial kelihatan tidak berkenan dan tidak yakin dengan kenyataan Putrajaya yang menyangkal laporan Wall Street Journal (WSJ) mendakwa Datuk Seri Najib Razak menerima berbilion ringgit yang dipindahkan ke dalam akaunnya.
Pengguna Facebook melalui komen mereka menghentam perdana menteri di laman profil rangkaian sosial beliau hampir sepanjang masa sejak beliau berkongsi kenyataan rasmi Pejabat Perdana Menteri jam 1.39 tengah hari tadi.
Mereka melepaskan kemarahan, rasa sakit hati dan menghamburkan sindiran dalam hampir 500 komen yang dibuat setakat ini.
"Eerrr.. How about we don't believe you (Macamana kalau kami tak percayakan anda)!!” kata Damien Thanam.
Nicholas Chin menulis: "Our cute PM. like to post in fb rather than speak openly to the ppl (PM kita yang comel, suka tulis posting FB, daripada bercakap secara terbuka dengan rakyat).”
"U should realise by now that you have lost the rakyat's support. No amount of money n propaganda can save you this time (Anda patut sedar sekarang anda kehilangan sokongan rakyat. Sebanyak mana wang dan propaganda pun tak akan dapat selamatkan anda kali ini),” tulis Fariz Zakaria.
Kenny Wan mencadangkan Najib buktikan kepada semua yang beliau memiliki sokongan rakyat.
"100% support you PM Najib. Why not dissolve the parliament and call for early election to show everyone that you will be still democratically elected? (100% menyokong anda, PM Najib. Kenapa tidak bubar Parlimen dan isytiharkan pilihan raya segera untuk tunjukkan anda masih dilantik secara demokratik” katanya.
Zakiy R. Hasham menulis: “Thank you for your services sir. your contributions are highly appreciated, but I think it’s time for you to move on. Wish you the very best in life. (Terima kasih atas perkhidmatan Tuan. Sumbangan anda amat dihargai, tetapi saya rasa tiba masanya anda pergi. Mengucapkan yang terbaik untuk hidup anda)"
Sweekeng Lim menggesa Najib mengisytiharkan hartanya kepada umum untuk membuktikan beliau tidak bersalah, sambil Mahmud Fahrurrazi Uhd bertanya Najib bila beliau akan bertaubat.
Pengguna Facebook Mohammad Fadino Khairuman bertanya adakah Najib membaca semua komen yang dibuat dan akan membalasnya.
"Saya menguruskan sebuah fan page dengan fan 3.5 juta. Jauh lebih banyak dari Pak Jib. Namun walau ada satu comment negative ianya dapat saya perasan dan memberi maklum balas. Jadi janganlah kata Ko tak nampak orang semua tak suka dekat ko di FB ni Jib. #MuhongKuat”
Ramai juga yang mencabar Najib menyaman WSJ kerana laporan itu, seperti Zuhairy Fauzy yang menulis: “ Sue WSJ then. You’re always right, aren’t you? (Kalau begitu, samanlah WSJ. Anda memang selalu betul, kan?)"
Seorang lagi pengguna Facebook, Norakma Mohd Yaman mengatakan: "Kalau setakat tulis sahaja, saya pun boleh buat. Bukti mana, bukti? Samanlah WSJ kalau betul kau di pihak yang betul. Menyampah pula dengan propaganda melalut ini." – TMI
