I dah pergi Bangkok 5 years ago....byk tempat yg tak sempat pergi. Stay cuma 2 malam jer.

The Bridge over the River Kwai

A brief geographical history. There are in fact three rivers, the western Kwae Noi River and eastern Kwae Yai River join at Kanchanaburi to become the Maeklong River which flows into the Gulf of Thailand. The bridge over the River Kwai actually crosses the Kwae Yai River just north of this confluence, about 2 miles north of the centre of Kanchanaburi. The railway runs close to the eastern bank of the Kwae Noi River after crossing the bridge on its way to Burma. It is now only open as far as Nam Tok, about 35 miles north west of Kanchanaburi. The actual bridge had about a dozen arched girder spans on concrete piers. Two of the centre spans were destroyed in the bombing in 1944 and after the war they were replaced with the present angular sections. The land in this area is relatively flat with the occasional limestone outcrops. A lot of sugar cane is now growing in the area. As the line approaches Nam Tok it becomes quite hilly/rocky and it is here that the wooden trestle bridges are encountered. They are not built across the river but along the eastern bank where the limestone outcrops come right to the river's edge. As the train crosses these original trestle bridges at walking pace there is a sheer rock face with caves on one side and the river on the other side.

Naik public bas 6 Baht (RM0.60) dari MBK Siam Square ke Sanam Luang (padang depan Grand Palace).. laju jer drebar bawak. berangin2 sbb tingkap terbuka kat sebelah bawah.. konduktor pun pakai uniform.


Padang Sanam Luang ni petang2 ramai umat main layang2. Padang dia rasanya 3 kali ganda Dataran Merdeka...


Saper nak ngurut pegi sini.. Sekolah Massage kat Kws Wat Pho.. murah sbb student yg urut.. diorng training.. tp ramai mat saleh beratur tunggu giliran...

Ada mcm-mcm experience kat Bangkok. Masa tu gi with one tour group.....satu bas.

One thing yg i tak suka berjalan kat Bangkok ni....traffic jammed dia teruk sangat....sama cam kat Jakarta but Jakarta lagi worst lah....
So, nak elakkan jammed terpaksa guna highway.....
Dulu kami pernah tersangkut kat area Chatucak Market tu dekat berjam2 jugak....so terpaksa menggunakan perkhidmatan polis traffic guna siren lagi utk membawa bas kami keluar from that area and we have to pay money to that police traffic. Sampai gitu sekali.
It was happen 5 years ago lah....i dont know skrg ni camana.
Pastu masa kami gi Golden Palace....masa tu tourist guide bagi masa about 2 hours nak masuk area tu.....but masa tu cam malas nak masuk....i curi2 keluar dari situ nak gi shopping ke Siam Square naik tuk-tuk...but very frustrated dorang tak nak hantar sebab at that time nak gi sana jammed teruk.
Aduhhhh dugaan betul.....

Tapi yg paling seronok...gi Floating Market.

sib baik tak pegi...

Bangkok mmg jam teruk..  plan betul2 kalau pegi area tak ada BTS/Underground.
Pagi jam 10 am ok kalau nak ke area Grand Palace.
Sy penah sangkut jam 5.30 petang dari Grand Palace nak balik ke Siam Square... terus turun bas, naik teksi motor... cilok jalan mana ntah 10 minit sampai tp bayar 100 Baht.

Shopping kat Bangkok mmg best...fashion baju lebih up-to-date drp KL dan harga jauh lebih murah.
Jangan lupa pergi ke Platinum Mall (kat area Pratunam market) dan juga singgahlah ke pasar Pratunam tu...
macam2 ada...semuanya murah.

Chatucak pun MESTI dilawati. Mmg seronok...

Suan Lum night bazaar macam2 ada...lebih selesa nak shopping, tapi price mahal skit jer...

Kiranya kalau dlm 6hari, 5 mlm kat Bangkok pun mmg tak puas..tingin nak pegi lagi...

Thanks for the info. ronnie nak gi dengan hubby tapi weekday, so tak dapat le ke chatucak market, so dok survey tempat2 lain nak gi...............
