PETALING JAYA: Music will be crossing boundaries next week when local pop group KRU performs in a charity concert in aid of the victims of Pakistan's devastating earthquake.
In conjunction with Deepa-Raya celebrations, Central Market is putting together the concert that will be held on Oct 28 after a weeklong charity drive.
According to managing director of Central Market Sdn Bhd Bernard Bong, plans are underway to start a collection from Central Market's tenants and customers from next week.
“The management of Central Market will make an additional donation of RM10,000 to add to the amount raised,” Bong said.
The two-hour long concert will be open to the public for free.
All proceeds from the donation drive will be handed over to The Star at the end of the concert in support of The Star South Asia Quake Fund.
