28 Dec 2011, plan hari ni g Anfield n Old Trafford. Member sy a liverpool fan, while I'm a red devil, travelling with the enemy indeed... kekeke.. neway sblm g euston sempat lg singgah kat trafalgar square, berenti kat charring cross station.. it was a daring decision, member dah nervous tp still we manage to take some good pic wpun pagi tu ujan n sjuk bangat weii... sampai kat euston lam 8.15am, konpius jap sbb kat papan info train kitaorg (yg bertolak 8.40am) tadak pun, yg ada hanya train ke middlesbrough jer. rupa2nyer train kitaorg tu final destination nyer middlesbrough, masa kat platform baru ader list tempat2 dia transit. chett.. kitaorg nyer train supposely to arrive d liverpool lime street station 11.10am, so travel time around 2.5 hrs, tp this was not a direct journey. kitaorg change dr virgin train ke london midland train kat crewe, but for gbp12.50, sy rasa no hal la.. pas tiba kat liverpool lime street station (train dr crewe lewat lam 5-10min rasa nyer), kitaorg trus g redeem tiket liverpool-manchester kat tiket machine. tiket machine kat sini a bit problematic. brapa kali masuk, kad sy x dpt read, sampai sy masuk ticket office, officer kat situ insist gak sy pakai machine tu. mujur ada 2 guys yg also 1st time guna machine tu, try their very best to help me, sampai siap gosok chip kad sy tu.. luckily after the 2nd time we try, kad sy dpt dibaca..fuhh.. oh yeah, kad kredit sy tu kan, kad manchester united, mayb kat liverpool liat nak baca.. hahaha...
neway, kitaorg g anfield naik bas no 17 dr queen square bus station, x silap kat stop 6 which was on the opposite road of the Queen Square centre. sblm tu, sy ambik bus schedule dr centre tu sbb we gotta catch train g manchester jam 3.22pm. tambang bas lam gbp1.80 n berenti btul2 dpan stadium. kitaorg yg 1st time nak g ni nervous sbb takut terlajak sampai everton lak. mujur ada pakcik lam bus bgtau when to ring the bell. kitaorg nyer stadium tour jam 1.30pm (gbp15), so member g shopping dulu. sy lak g redeem tiket. patut kitaorg g museum tour dulu before the stadium tour tp member sy shopping lambat sgt, just right when the stadium tour began dia abes shopping. neway, stadium tour nyer point of meeting was at bill shankly statue. the tour was around 1 hour. ok la, tour member tak ramai sgt so bley ar ambik gambar puas2. I'm not a fan so tak kisah sgt.. hahaha.. tp sy suka the story about the boot's room.. superstitious one tp interesting.. oso the tunnel dmana sign 'this is anfield' dgantung.. they said that sign was to intimidate tp for me size tunnel tu lg intimidating.. punya la kecik.. ptut ar player bley shoving each other... tak sabar nak tgk old trafford nyer tunnel where even pizza flies.. hehehe.. or was it at highbury@emirates???  pas abes tour member nak masuk museum, tp sbb kitaorg nak kejar bas g lime street dia ader less than 5 min jer, tp sempat gak ar dier ambik gambar ngan european cup which hanya 5 club jer ader coz nowadays the cup cannot be kept even if u win it 100 times.. neway, museum tu kecik jer but certainly if nak mhayati sjarah the club 5min x cukup. oh, yer anfield pun kecik jer!!! my friend komen sama, so i'm not bias here. hehe.. |

train g manchester yg kitaorg ambik was operated by 1st transpennine xpress, tambang gbp6 n journey time was 47min. by the time kitaorg sampai manchester piccadily, dah gelap pun. plan g old trafford kalini smata2 nak g megastore jer.. hehe.. nekad nak rembat t-shirt champions 19 punya pasal!! neway, arini tersangat ler sjuk.. kwn sy ckp it was 1C or -1C.. memula plan nak ambil tram jer g OT tp sbb dah x sanggup meredah cuaca yg sjuk kitaorg ambik taxi jer, kitaorg kena charge gbp10. rasa mahal sket dr usual price tp terdesak nak g cpat b4 megastore tutup jam 6pm, otak plak beku xder mood nak negotiate, trus masuk cab. sampai megastore, mmg puasati ngan ke'mega'an nyer, especially bila banding ngan liverpool store. man utd mmg terror bab marketing n raking in the profit.. tp ntah cukup idak nak byr utang owner.. neway, ada bbrp benda nak beli tp tadak, eg crackers.. frust sket sbb ingat ley main tarik2 crackers ngan siblings sambil surprise2 tgk hadiah aper dpt.. keke.. pepun dpt bbrp item champions 19 n baby shoes utk anak buah, so puas ati gak ngan brg rampasan dr megastore.. blk dr megastore ingat nak ambik bus sbb cashier ader mention ader bus kat luar stadium direct g train station@bandar.. tp sbb tak sure arah mana bus stop tu n mmg tak tahan ngan cuaca sjuk kat luar dah, kitaorg naik cab jer.. kalini kitaorg kena charge gbp8. train kitaorg (virgin train, gbp17) bertolak dr manchester piccadily jam 7.55pm n tiba d london euston jam 10.12pm, journey time 2jam 17min. utk journey ni kitaorg xyah redeem ticket, guna paper ticket yg print sdiri tu jer.
setiba di euston, decide g london bridge sbb tadak masa dah nak ambik pic kat tower bridge yg glemer rupa n london bridge yg glemer nama tu.. punya ler contrast dua bridge ni... pastu dpt gak ler tgk HMS Belfast wpun gelap jer.. huhu..mayb another time.. another companion.. member sy cam x minat sgt benda2 history @ politic ni.. nak heret dier g downing street pun x kesampaian. then, kitaorg patah blk ke london bridge tube station utk ke southwark. x silap sy southwark dah dkat tp kaki member merengek lg. tak dpt ler sy tgk millenium bridge yg kuar kat movie harry potter itu.. huhu.. |

29 Dec 2011, arini lastday kat tanah great britain n kitaorg dah book tour windsor, stonehenge and bath with evanevanstours bernilai gbp74. pricey sbb it was a full priced tour, include all the entrance fees. actually kalo evanevans ader select tour (usually priced at gbp44) utk this 3 attraction which enable us to choose which one to enter nak gak ambik coz for bath sy lebih minat nak explore the city compare to the roman bath. tp malangnyer tadak. ada company lain offer tp risau xtau meeting point plak. for evanevans, meeting point kat victoria coach station, mudah. so, kitaorg checkout dr travelodge pepagi lg n ask for taxi, tak larat nak angkut luggage turun naik tube punya pasal. kat travelodge southwark, dorg ada sediakan phone specifically utk call taxi (hire car), free jer nak guna.. kitaorg kena charge gbp15 utk taxi dr southwark ke victoria.. kitaorg left luggage kat coach station (gbp3.50 per bag for 1day) and then join our bus tour.
for the tours, nak komen bbrp things jer. 1st, sgt2 penting utk mjaga masa!! time kitaorg kat windsor 2org kena tinggal sbb takder kat bus pd waktu yg ditetapkan, tu pun bas kitaorg dah cukup baik hati tunggu 20min. bas lain sy tgk ciao trus jer. neway, windsor ader train station, so pastikan bw duit masa kuar bas. at least still ley blk london. sy bley tertinggal wallet masa kuar bas, sebbaik on time.. tp x dpt ler jenguk kedai souvenier kat windsor.. baru jer nak beli replika cincin sapphire.. nak pulangkan kat harry.. keke.. 2nd, sila2 ler bw bekal utk lunch sbb utk tour ni mmg x stop for lunch sbb ksuntukan masa. sebbaik ler sy dah urge member sy utk beli food masa kat southwark lg, kalo x harus merengek kbuluran plak. 3rd, masa kat bath mmg x ckup, tak sempat pun nak tgk bandar bath. dah ler in winter cpat gelap. kalo ader masa n rezeki in the future, nak gak explore the city at least for 1 day.. kg. jane austen ni.. huhu..
kitaorg arrive london before 8pm. bus ke paris (nationalxpress/eurolines, gbp50) pd jam 10.30pm. byk masa lg b4 check in, which was 1jam sblm boarding.. tp souvenier stall dah tutup.. |

Wahhh..N13 best best kan gi Old Trafford?? Tapi tak join stadium n museum tour ke? Oh gosh Mizz masih lagi teringat bestnya bila masuk OT. Terlopong sebab tak sangka impian kita boleh jadik kenyataan. Mizz pun shopping sakan gak kat Megastore, and buat stamping Champions 19 kat situ hehehe.. Tp jersey beli kat Lilliwhites di London la...
Ni naik Liverpool n Manchester memang Amazing Race style giler la ekk.. Hebat korang! Kalo Mizz, mesti nak seharian satu tempat, enjoy slow2 hehehe...

Thank you for this trip review.
Sangat appreciate especially the part about nak redeem tiket yang dah di book online. Sebab tak ramai org sedar details macam nie yang penting esp bila dah kalut kat tpt org. I especially like the small details - macam harga tiket bas, mana nak amik public transport ke Anfield - sebab bila baca kat travel website dgn experience org sendiri mmg berbeza.
Kalau ada gambar lagi best!

Nak mintak opinion korang kat sini....
Regarding booking bilik hotel.
Dah nak muntah dah tgk website, dari booking.com ke AGODA ke easybooking.com ke hotels.com ke Trip Advisor. Satu ckp macam nie, satu lagi ckp macm nie. Harga website nie macam nie, satu lagi pulak harga lain. Ada yg letak harga inclusive of tax, ada yang bila dah tekan butang nak book baru kata ada tambahan tax - so sebenarnya harga yg dia quote memula tadi bertambah pulak.....
Pening ambo wehh! 
Anyway, just nak tanya yang ada experience - adakah harga hotel, bila dia tgk dah nak dekat and byk lagi bilik dia free baru dia bagi murah? ataupun April dlm lebih kurang peak season org nak g London?
Sebab perasan, dlm January nie byk harga yg reasonable - tapi utk booking April, mahal sikit. So, possible tak, kalau Yana tunggu dlm bulan April karang, yang diorg akan slash harga hotel diorg?
At the moment, Yana dah booking dekat booking.com, 4 malam kat satu hotel nie - and harga dia agak jaub beza dgn website hotel tu - ada tak sesapa with experience booking dgn booking.com - and macamana bila sampai hotel, ok ke ada masalah tak....? Sebab bila berjln2 di alam cyber, terjumpa la jugak beberapa org dgn experience tak elok menggunakan booking.com - so tak nak la terjadi macam tu jugak kan.....
Tapi Yana amik yg free cancellation, just in case jumpa bilik yg lebih baik (dah target dah beberapa hotel, simpan bookmark) - boleh cancel.
Tapi ada la beberapa reviewer yg ckp, walaupun dia cancel dgn booking.com, hotel ingat diorg still ada booking, so in the end, diorg kena charge NO SHOW fee.... |

Berry pernah guna booking.com and agoda and so far ok je... mcm booking.com tu berry beli masa nak pergi bandung hihi... and ok jah smpai sana sign jah sbb byr pakai cc kan.. and mmg harga yg kena harga yg kita book tu..
Berry amik yg free cancellation so boleh cancel 3 days before pergi kot baru dia tak charge cc kita.. Tp yg mcm agoda berry amek yg non refundable tu sbb dah murah.. so mmg terus masuk dlm my cc statement. |

Thanks. Sebelum nie pun pernah guna Third Party utk booking, ok je, takde masalah. Cumanya bila dah TERbaca beberapa pengalaman org yang tak best, timbul gak rasa takut.
A'ah - AGODA mmg book terus. Tapi sebab amik yg free cancellation, lepas jumpa harga yang lebih competitive, terus cancel - so harap takde problem.
with BOOKING.COM - dia service utk booking aje kan. So bayaran dibuat pada hotel.
Yang peliknya, bilik yang Yana nak amik tu, dgn AGODA harga lain, kalau book dgn hotel direct, harga lain and booking.com bagi harga yang beza by RM100 - (satu mlm, kalau dah 4 malam, haaaa, kan berapa dah tu kan) - so kalau benda yang TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE nie, biasanya ada something kan....tu yang risau tu.....
Tapi hope for the best lah. Lambat lagi nak pergi nie, cuma nak prepare in advance la, esp tiket TRAIN yg dpt murah kalau beli in advance nie. |

11-15 - London
Yang wajib buat: Wimbledon Stadium punya tour, British Museum, Museum of Natural History, kalau sempat Grant Museum of Zoology, then Camden Lock - on top of the usual Big Ben, Parliament, Trafalgar Sq., Picaddily Circus, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Oxford St., Covent Garden etc.
15 - Liverpool - hubby nak gi Anfield
16 - Liverpool ke Newcastle
17 -overnight DFDS Ferry ke Amsterdam dari Newcastle. Hubby tak percaya bila Yana ckp ferry kat sana macamana - it's like shopping mall bergerak atas air yg mana yg short trips tu. Masa first time naik dulu, tak tau pun dah masuk ferry. Kelakar la pulak bila teringat balik.
18 - arrive in Amsterdam
19 - Keukenhof
20 - flight balik KL tghari.
Setkt nie, train ticket hanya boleh beli utk end of March aje. Lagi dua minggu baru Yana bleh beli utk trip Yana.
Hotel - Travelodge takde pun yang murah. Maybe nak tunggu sikit kalau2 ada sale lagi. Tu yang Yana perasan, Jan punya bilik agak murah, April mahal. Adakah sebab April peak season, atau pun yg dekat2 nie dia nak jual sebab bilik dia byk tak laku? Apa2 pun Yana dah ada dah booking, just in case tak jumpa yg lagi murah. |

Untuk hotel booking di Europe saya cadangkan u all pakai trivago.co.uk (dia scan 113 "reputable" hotel booking sites). Sayang sikit dia tak masukkan travelodge dlm search dia. Doc, perbezaan rate antara hotel providers tu memang lumrah... jgn takut, just grab yg termurah! |

Yana mmg ada bookmark TRIVAGO lepas Rush ada rekemenkan kat sini. Mmg best website tu, sebab dia compare semua website yg offer harga hotel murah. Yana mmg guna hari tu.
Tapi sebab TERLALU byk option, Yana telah menyenangkan kerja Yana dgn melimitkan location hanya pada Paddington and Bayswater. and mesti ada review best dari Trip Advisor.
Kalau nak consider benda lain, rasa macam nak pengsan.....hahaha. |

Tak terconsider pun area Bloomsbury. Lambat lagi nak pergi, maybe survey jugak kot. I think one of the museum yg Yana nak pergi area tu.
Paddington tu because, lepas amik Heathrow Connect or Heathrow Express, dia akan berenti Paddington, kan. So kalau hotel Yana area tu, Yana just kuar station and g hotel and lepas freshen up a bit, bleh terus kuar. Kalau area lain, kena turun naik underground station, kalau line lain2, kena tukar pulak. Certain underground, bukannya kuar train, naik escalator and then terus jumpa the other line, kan.....sesetgh tu kena jalan jugak and tau2 je la kat underground tu semuorg jln laju2. Kalau takde luggage, rasa senang sikit.
and satu lagi, dari Paddington tu dah di antara Bayswater and Edgware Road kan - dua tpt nie Yana selalu round2 buang masa tika student dulu. Sentimental tau....hehe.
Tapi kan Rush, kadang2 bila baca review hotel kat Trip Advisor, ada la 3-4 org yang puji hotel tu tetiba terbaca sorang yg bagi bad review, seolah2 dia macam duduk hotel berbeza dari org lain, kan....ntah2 competitor hotel tu, dia letak review palsu - hahahha, possible tak....? |

No wonder u cari kat Paddington, bak kata pepatah Melayulah ".... tempat jatuh lagikan dikenang..." apatah lagi tempat belajar/lepak dulu!
