Synopsis
Kawai Keisuke is a young man who aspired to become a physicist since he was young. His hopeful parents send him to an expensive college prep school, but at the age of 15, during his third year of junior high, he is diagnosed with a brain tumor. Told that he only has one year to live, he falls into despair, giving up on treatment and even lashing out against his own mother. Ultimately, with the support of his family, he struggles with the tumor for eight years before dying at the age of 23.

On August 31st, it was confirmed by a physician that Nishikido Ryo contracted Type A Influenza, and after that, he has continued to seek medical care, and is recovering well, seeing a doctor regularly, and according to his diagnosis, depending on what shape he is in tomorrow morning, he is aiming to start working again tomorrow. I will formally report all of the details regarding his return to his activities.
I humbly apologize to all of the staff, as well as to all of the fans, for these events.
This week, on September 4th, (Fri) the regularly scheduled drama, "Othros no Inu" will be slightly altered to "Othros no Inu, Emergency Live Broadcast Special Episode." Takizawa Hideaki, and Mizukawa Asami will be dropping in to do a draft of the comments and scheduling of the show.
Again, Nishikido Ryo will come back to start recording the drama on September 4th, and we are considering the above mentioned show to be broadcasted.
Because we are still deciding when to air this week's "Othros no Inu," we will let you know about our decision once we have reached it.

Johnny's talents to lead Fuji TV late-night program
A special drama program was announced today in Japanese online news magazines. Starting October, Fuji TV will air a late-night program that will star several talents from Johnny’s and Associates. This program will be a comprised of a series of short dramas, ranging from 3-5 episodes each, and will be led by a Johnny’s talent. Different stories are featured each month surrounding a common theme. Yu Yokoyama, from Kanjani 8, will be the narrator for the series.
According to sources, the program is entitled Guests in Room 0, named after the mysterious room in hotel Point where the drama is set. The room is said to have the ability to gauge the worth of each guest that stays in it. Arashi’s Satoshi Ohno (28) is said to be the first guest of Room 0. Ohno will portray a salaryman who enters the room with a cabaret girl for the night. His series will comprise of four episodes.
     
Subsequent Johnny’s talent will include Kanjani 8 members Ryuhei Maruyama (25) and Shota Yasuda (24) in one episode, NEWS’ Shigeaki Kato (22), Shingo Murakami (27) of Kanjani 8, Keiichiro Koyama (25) of NEWS, and TOKIO’s leader Shigeru Joushima (38). These talents will be featured in 15 minute installments starting on October 23. Guests of Room 0 is set for a six-month run. Narrator Yokoyama declares that despite the late time-slot, he is looking forward to working in this show.
Guests of Room 0 will air late-night Fridays at 1:05 AM in Fuji TV.

Yamashita: There’re so many nostalgic pictures~ (checking POTATO back issues)
Ikuta: You’re right, nostalgic.
Yamashita: Looking back at these now, we were such kids.
Ikuta: Yamashita’s cheeks are all pudgy (laughs).
Yamashita: You’re right~. Ah, look at this. Here’s an article from when we went to America together.
Ikuta: Ah~, we did go. And if I remember right, Yamashita was stung by a bee. And that totally ruined the whole thing for you (laughs).
Yamashita: Right right! You could totally see my tension go down. Thinking back to it now, it’s strange to think something little like that made me so depressed…
Ikuta: And seeing you like that, the other members got depressed too (laughs). We were all still mentally weak~.
Yamashita: Right. …How ever many years go by, you don’t forget episodes like this one. But really, Toma and me were in the same photoshoots the most around this time.
Ikuta: We were. We just took a picture right now taking the same poses, but it’s embarrassing to do it at this stage (laughs).
Yamashita: Who’d have thought we’d be doing a photoshoot with the same poses 10 years later (laughs). But I really did feel the length of our history there. At the time, wasn’t it half like going to go play even when you were told you had a photoshoot to go to?
Ikuta: We were always totally running around in the studio. And then we’d get our costumes all soaked in sweat even before the photoshoot and get yelled at by the stylist-san and the make up-san all the time.
