Eric Expresses Feelings after Discharge from Hospital

Eric, a member of the boy group Shinhwa and an actor, has talked about his
thoughts for the first time since being discharged from a hospital where he had
been recovering from injuries sustained during the shooting of the drama 'Wolf' in
January.
Kim Dong-wan, Eric wrote, "If you stay at a hospital for a month with nothing to
do, like an 'old boy,' then you will realize how happy you are to have work to do,
even work you once thought tiring. I suggest we work even when we get old."
He also wrote that he had been impressed by the words 'We see as much as we
know' which he encountered while visiting the website of a dance team he worked
with. "I think that we really do not see more than we know, whether it is
regarding dance or a person. I want to get to know everything about things I love
to do, even if few people recognize it. I feel happy that there are still many things
that I have to learn and do," he said.
Eric's agency Good EMG said that Eric will resume the shooting of the drama as
soon as he fully recovers, and participate in the recording of Shinwha's eighth
album.

Shinhwa Plans to Captivate Japan

The all-male group Shinhwa will release their first single album recorded in
Japanese in Japan, their first step toward becoming the newest Korean pop stars
in that country. The Sport Hochi reported Thursday that the popular Korean six
-man group is now gearing up to captivate Japanese fans with its new album to be
released in June.
The sports newspaper said that the group will hold a press conference at Budokan
in Tokyo on April 14 to announce its plan, which will be followed by a mini concert.
It featured a detailed profile of the group, describing Shinhwa as one of Korea's
greatest music groups and likening them to Korea's SMAP and the Back Street
Boys.
The group also plans to release a feature album and hold concerts across Japan
once its new single album is released there. Group member Eric said in an
interview with the newspaper, "We are happy to perform in Japan. We are trying
our best to produce great music for Japanese fans, so we will be very happy if
you like us and our music."
Fellow group member Shin Hye-sung, who held a live concert in Japan last
November, expressed confidence, saying, "I am pretty sure that Japanese fans
will love our performance."
Meanwhile, the group will appear in a live concert to be held in Budokan on April
15 to celebrate the opening of Mnet Japan, the Tokyo branch of the Korean cable
music channel, Mnet.

Shinhwa to Advance into Japanese Market
2006-04-14
The six-man group Shinhwa will give a press interview at Budokan in Japan on Apr. 14
at 3:00 p.m. to make an official announcement on its plans to advance into the
Japanese pop market.
In the press interview, the group will disclose its projects for 2006, including the
production of its first Japanese-version single album that will be released in June
through the album agency Columbia Music Entertainment, the release of its regular
album in August, and its Asia concert tour.
Due to the upcoming arrival of the group, Narita International Airport and Budokan
have been on alert. Shinhwa will leave Incheon International Airport on the morning
of Apr. 14 and arrive at Narita at 12:30 p.m. The group had originally intended to
arrive at Haneda Airport, but Haneda proposed it arrive at Narita instead for safety
reasons. In January of last year, Haneda had difficulty handling crowds of fans who
flocked to welcome the group, which had arrived to give a concert. Narita is
expected to mobilize about 100 airport police and security guards for the safety of
fans.
The press interview will be held indoors for fear of disorder and traffic congestion. An
official from Shinhwa's agency Good EMG said, "We originally wanted to hold a press
conference outdoors in front of Budokan. But Budokan called us to ask to move the
venue indoors for fear of a chaotic situation."
On arrival at Narita, Shinhwa will be covered closely by Fuji TV camera crews
beginning at the airport. About 100 news organizations such as broadcast networks
and newspapers have already asked to cover the press conference.
Meanwhile, Shinhwa launched its official Website in Japan (http://www.shinhwafan.jp)
on Apr. 12. Its Japanese fans can access the site for the latest news and information
about the group.
After the press conference on Apr. 14, Shinhwa will appear on the "Concert to
Celebrate the Launch of CJ Media Japan" -- a special program of Mnet-KM's "M!
Countdown in Japan" -- at Budokan on Apr. 15, where it will sing several songs,
including its hit song "Brand New."

Shinhwa抯 New Album Attracts Much Attention in Korea, Japan

Korean six-man group Shinhwa has drawn attention not only in Korea but also
throughout Asia with its soon-to-be-released eighth feature album. The new album,
scheduled to be released on Thursday some one year and nine months after its seventh
album, posted the most advance orders at Hot Tracks, Korea抯 largest record shop, as
well as at HMV, Japan抯 largest record chain.
The group抯 agency Good Entertainment Media Group said Monday that the group抯
new album has been on the top of the advance order list at Hot Tracks since it
started taking advance orders from May 3. 揑n Japan as well, the album has topped
the advance order list of record chain HMV. In addition, its first Japanese single to
