Popular rock band UVERworld held the tour final of their "LAST tour 2010" on July 4th at Yoyogi International Stadium, where they announced their very first Tokyo DOME performance for November 27th as a surprise.
"I think we would like to show you all an even better view. Therefore we have decided to hold a performance at Tokyo DOME!" Including their latest single "GOLD", they performed 20 songs and the announcement from vocalist TAKUYA surprised 12,000 fans. "There have been dreams we couldn't realize and we hate ending things without trying."
Since the end of June there had also been a mysterious countdown on the official homepage of the group and when counting, it comes down to November 27th. However, the latest album title "LAST" is also written. And while there had been speculations on the break up of the band among their fans, the eruptions came as the great announcement of the Tokyo DOME performance.
On June 6th, the UVERworld had been looking back on ten years of band history. On July 6th it had also been 5 years since their major debut and now the honor of a very first dome performance has been added.
Singer Nishino Kana's second album, "to LOVE" has remained in the top spot for a second consecutive week on the Oricon album ranking chart dated July 12th. With sales of 113,000 in the second week, the total has become 403,000. It is the first time a female artist has held the position for two weeks in a row this year, with the last album to do so being ayaka's "ayaka's History 2006-2009," last October.
On the singles chart, Kanjani8 came in at #1 with "Wonderful World!!" selling 245,000 copies. It is Kanjani 8's 9th single. The works of recently deceased Korean wave idol Park Yongha saw a sudden rise in sales this week. His single "One Love - Eigao de Afureruyouni" jumped from outide of the top 200 to the 35th spot. In total, he had 4 releases in the top 100.
Nakashima Mika to Hold Commemoration 10th Anniversary Event with her First Nippon Budokan Performance!
On November 5th and 6th, singer Nakashima Mika, who will then be looking back on ten years since her debut, will hold her first Budokan Performance as commemoration anniversary event. The fans will be able to celebrate this milestone of her career at a place sacred for artists.
On November 11th in 2001 Nakashima had debuted with her single "STARS" and it will be precisely ten years to look back upon the day her live on this admired stage has been decided for. Recently, the singer is busy shooting for her first role as a house wife in the regular dorama "Unubore Dake" and she is also providing the intro song "Ichiban Kirei na Watashi o". The song is released today on July 7th,
As soon as the filming is over, Nakashima will be performing at Osaka Jo Hall on October 30th and 31st, before concentrating on making her Budokan performance a success.
With the 10th anniversary ahead, she will be working hard on her future activities for sure.

On the 18th of July, guitarist You of Janne Da Arc will be hosting a guitar clinic at RUIDO K2 in Shibuya! Tickets for the event are currently on sale for 1,500yen. The place will be opening their doors at 12:30AM, and starting at 1:00PM.
Some warnings for those of you who are planning on attending. Do not take any photographs or record any of the event, or they will close the clinic and everyone will lose the chance to experience this. You will also have to turn off your cellphone. This is all normal procedure for most events that you’ll attend. Also, it would be best to arrive early, as they’ll cut off the amount of people coming in after a certain number.
