Schuster Regains Robinho and Pepe, Loses Van Nistelrooy

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster has received mixed news ahead of their game with Recreativo on Saturday, with Robinho and Pepe back in contention, but Ruud van Nistelrooy definitely ruled out.

   Robinho and Pepe both returned to training last week after injury layoffs and have received the medical discharge from Madrid's doctors to be included in the squad that travels to Huelva to face Recreativo this weekend.

Both are expected to be named among the substitutes, with their return to the starting eleven saved for the second-leg of Madrid's Champions League tie with AS Roma the following Wednesday.

While Schuster was glad to have two important players back in action, he will have to do without top-scorer Ruud van Nistelrooy for the Recre clash due to sinovitis in his right ankle.

van Nistelrooy will undergo a program of physiotherapy with the hope being that he will be able to return in time for the game with Roma.

Ra鷏 will take the Dutchman's place up front for the game with Recreativo, although Javier Saviola has now fully recovered from his own injury problems and could be used at some point on Saturday.

Guti retired early from the session due to the knock he picked up in the loss to Getafe last weekend and is considered to be doubtful for Saturday's game, while M韈hel Salgado, Marcelo, Wesley Sneijder and Fabio Cannavaro were all limited to the weights room, but are likely to be in contention for a place in the squad.

Spartak Moscow striker Roman Pavlyuchenko could not hide his desire to join Real Madrid after reports suggested that the Spanish giants were weighing up a bid for his services.
