Perfume gives their blessing to Kimura Kaela's marriage, plans for a wedding performance
After hearing of singer Kimura Kaela's marriage to actor Eita, techno-pop trio Perfume offered their blessing to the new couple in a comment through their management.
In 2007, Kimura introduced then-unknown Perfume through her own personal radio program with the song "Chocolate Disco," giving them their first big break and the opportunity to take part in NHK's environmental campaign. This led to their first major hit single, "Polyrhythm," and later, their chart-topping debut original album GAME. When they learned of their benefactor's marriage, alongside their blessing, they quickly began preparations for a performance of the very song through which Kimura helped to bring them fame, "Chocolate Disco," at the couple's wedding.

Single release from the GazettE featuring intro theme to anime series "Kuroshitsuji II." The single includes the songs "Shiver," "Hesitating Means Death" and "Naraku." The tickets for SID's first performance at Saitama Super Arena on July 31st have been going on sale on May 29th and it has now been learned that 30,000 tickets have been sold out in that same day. Do to the demand of many fans, extra seats have been added to the sides of the stage on top of that. From June 26th the play guide will be released as well.
SID had been debuting with their song "Monochro no Kiss" and in April 2009, their 3rd single "Uso" became the ending song of "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST", which ranked them in the ORICON charts on the top 2 position. The new single "Rain", which will be released on June 2nd will also be used as the opening for an anime.
Even before their major debut, they were popular enough to fill Nippon Budokan and last year they mobilized 76,000 people on their tour. After their appearance the local program "HEY!HEY!HEY!" they ranked second among the Google search "Hot Keywords"
Moreover, they will be taking part in the music programs "MUSIC STATION" on June 4th, "CDTV" on June 5th and "MUSIC JAPAN" on June 6th"!
girugamesh has confirmed information about their new release. The new single, called COLOR, will be released on the 7th of July in two versions. Both will contain two songs: COLOR and sunrise. Also on the regular version there will be one more song titled Flower. The limited edition will contain a DVD with two videos: NEW ALBUM RELEASE PREMIUM ONEMAN SHOW 2010 at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST, and TOUR 2010 This is "NOW" Tour Document (which will last approximately 69 minutes).

Ueno Juri to release 3rd single "Egao no Hana" on June 30th
On June 30th Ueno Juri will be releasing her 3rd single "Egao no Hana" whereas she challenged the song writing and lyrics herself this time. "It is a song where I wanted to write about my own bad sides and the splendid sides of everyone.", she said, while the experience from her work will be represented by a "flower" metaphorically. "Even as there might be discouraging moments, I want to walk my own way, looking ahead, like the flower which simply keeps on blooming."
Including the feeling of gratitude towards her staff as well, Ueno said about the song "I sang it with a happy feeling. The flower in it is representing the main character as such." Through this piece of music, she hopes that "the people listening to it will become just as happy and I'd be happy that they'd share my feelings and can relate to this." The song is now used as the song for NHK's "Minna no Uta" from June 1st with a portion of the revenue out of the CD sales going out to charity.
Last week, AKB48 released their 16th major label single, "Ponytail to Chouchou." They proved their popularity once again, taking #1 with 513,000 copies sold. This is the first single by a female group to break half a million in opening week sales since Morning Musume's "Renai Revolution 21" in 2000 (515,000 copies), and the first by a female artist since Hikaru Utada's "Can You Keep A Secret?" in 2001 (784,000 copies).
TVXQ's Junsu, under the name XIAH junsu, took #2 with his solo single, selling 195,000 copies. This sets the current record for a solo artist so far this year.
Lia and Aoi Tada's collaborative single ranked #3 for the week, while S/mileage made it to #5. Sata Andagi (#7), ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION (#8), and Etsuko Yakushimaru (#10) also made the top ten.
On the albums chart, Quruli's "Boku no Sundeita Machi" led the way with 20,000 copies sold. Reunited rock band Anzen Chitai was #3, marking their first top-three appearance in roughly 20 years. Right behind them were Seiko Matsuda (#4) and Boom Boom Satellites (#5), while GReeeeN's special album entered at #10.
