why is it for some people , especially like me, i can write in english quite well, but when it come to communicate in it , it just crumbling down.... why....

because you hardly talk in that language -
remember the golden saying : -

practice makes perfect -

a great analogy would be handwriting -
trust me - if you rarely write in the paper instead
type in the keyboard - your handwriting gonna deteriorate -

thus - lots of teachers (my sisters are a great example) have
awesome handwriting and neato -

therefore i urge you to speak in English as often as you can -

perhaps... you can start by replying the post in english
in this thread  just like you did earlier -

as well, you can start by reading simple english books or magazines
such as Reader's Digest -

Hi!!!

Got 1 Q which I've been asking n still didn't get d-answer.

Wut's MUAK in English?...Muak as in u feel like u wanna throw up after eating too much cheese-based or dairy-based product.

Some of my colleague replied
- bloated ( I dun think so, unless u must have stuffed ur self with lotsa thing)
- Muak as in an action of kissing...Gosh...wut an answer
- sick of it

So, I do hope OTAI2x english here can shed some lite 4 me regarding this issue.

Many Thanks....

true is not suitable in here -

b. Footprints in the sand

I抦 doing my master抯 in KL and I抦 the youngest student in the class. As a fresh grads from local U and now doing master most of my classmate has many years of experience in work field even half of them did their degree in overseas. I always felt a bit shy and nervous when it comes to the presentation time as I know that my English is not as good as them

Hi!!!

I do agree with anne, sometimes when I meet with someone who'r really good at english, I'll feel insecure when I wanna reply back or communicate with these kinda people as I dun wanna be their laughing-stock if I mistakenly or accidentally say something which is grammatically wrong. I had a bad experience with them 4.

However, not all of them are same, I mean, 4 instance, our MOD here are really2x helpful n correct our mistake tactfully. Wonder, when will I can speak n think in Engslih as quick as a lightning..huhuhu

correct me if I wrong....

i'm so glad to read your post -
it shows how confident you are in tackling the language
that you feel less superior -  and yet you did just great
and excellent -

it is normal to feel shy or scared to talk to others in
the language that you don't feel comfortable much
but - don't be!  we all learn from our mistakes and that's
how we can be fluent in the language -

a bit here and there that can be fixed but overall
i'm sure you have nothing to be worried about -
just keep practicing orally and in writing and you
gonna do just fine -

---------------------------------------------------------------------
omit with
in
omit will
to reply or communicate
before

the same
mistakes
can I

a good reply nevertheless -  a few mistakes but nothing big -
and easy to understand -

keep up the good job!! -

*i try to help as much as i can and at the same time i am learning, too -
